**FIRETHOrN is co-owned with and standing stud at Wild Thyme Farm, Morris, NY*** Firethorn is a full bolivian med. fawn herdsire from the Acera Marka line. We were so taken with his fleece quality we had to have him! He has fine bundled advanced fleece from his topknot to his toes that is uniform , bright, and super dense. His sire is full Bolivian . His mother is full Bolivian Acero Marka's Bonnie - out of top Canadian black herdsire, Acero Marka's Bernard. He definitely has the potential to produce much desired colorful cria with the correct females as dams along with improved fleece quality in terms of luster, super density and crimpy penciling. We are thrilled that in his first fleece entry ( our first skirted fleece) - 2O05 Nationals, he easily placed above many all Peruvians from top farms! Firethorn has tremendous confomation, a wonderful gait, straight legs and a classic typey head. His body is square and well balanced. He has large, evenly sized did I say large testicles and a good bite. We like him so much we repeated the breeding. Firethorn is the full brother to our Hagen Heights Ana Lynette. Best of all is his fleece, the type we hope to add to our herd of females, which exhibits high amplitude, medium frequency crimp and bundling, making it an effort to part it, wonderful handle and density, yet it opens like a book in the classic style desired by breeders. He settled his first four dams on the first try. ***Watch for his cria in the ring on the east coast this season!

Description

Born from our Caramello and Firethorn on July 16th. 20 lbs. Up nursing and running within 20 minutes, unassisted delivery. A large and vigorous male! Well, he was worth the wait. A chip off the old block- Esquire has the great comformation of both his 1/2 Peruvian dam Caramello and his multi-ribboned sire, full Bolivian Acero Marka Firethorn. Firethorn has passed on his superiour density, superiour crimp and extraodinary staple length to this wonderfully correct boy. What impresses me is that "Squire" looks like he is a few weeks old already at day two. He is settling in with the rest of the herd. He has a great proportion of neck to back ratio, and a very upright head and neck carriage. he has a square and correct carriage. Very well defined architecture and crimpy fiber already at a few days old with great staple length, brightness and density. Strong in bone and in frame. He reminds me alot of his sister- Firethorn's Willo- with a perfectly chiseled head shape and a topknot already apparent at a few days old. Firethorn passes on superior fleece and lovely heads to his offspring and Esquire is no exception! From his dam he gets superior bone, color, and size. Don't be scared by this low price- we have these genetics in abundance in our herd and that is why we are willing to let him go as a young breeding quality male - take him in the ring and put your farm on the map- he's worth your visitng Wild Thyme Farm to see for yourself the quality that he has in abundance..This boy is destined for the ring! Take him to the shows and collect ribbons for your farm- before we come to our senses and show him ourselves. He is the best Firethorn cria to date. I am constantly amazed by his fiber and form. See him in the ring in spring of 2010!
