Mr. Personality Plus, alias "Bo", is probably the calmest herdsire you'll ever meet. On top of that, Bo has incredibly dense, crimpy fiber from head to toe. And finally, those unique appaloosa spots make him completely one-of-a-kind. This spring, Bo settled several females (confirmed by ultrasound) and we can hardly wait for the crias to make their appearance. Oh! If only you could see spots and plumbing with ultrasound!

Rockford's Vintage Easter Bunny

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Silver Grey, Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 30888586DOB: 4/8/200717 yrs
Easter Bunny is a unique alpaca in that she represents a most unusual cross of two of the rare lines of huacaya appaloosas. Her dam, Chiquita, is a Chilean import that appears to be one of only two harlequin huacayas ever imported into the United States. Easter Bunny's sire is Aussie Rockford whose dam, Hannaruh, is known to be the carrier of another appaloosa gene, with Rockford having produced several appy crias from females not known to have the unusual appaloosa gene. This means that Easter Bunny could just be the first huacaya that is homozygous for the appaloosa gene. Easter Bunny has produced one appaloosa cria and is being bred to our appy male, Queen Bee Bodacious, for a Fall 2013 cria. Easter Bunny is currently not for sale.

Description

For breeders of quality appaloosas or other fancies, Jelly Bean is the one to add to Herdsire Row. Look at the wooly face, short ears and muzzle, the balanced conformation, and the lustrous fiber that goes all the way to the toes. As a yearling, his fiber is developing a light grey appearance, meaning that this guy is not just an appy, but a Harlequin appy. Check out how many of these guys you can find for sale--and with this quality. Also take a look at the pedigree--El Moustachio, Peruvian Platinum, Chiquita, Hannaruh, Rockford, and Pperuvian Felix, not to mention Queen B Bodacious! Then, check out those spots! Jelly Bean has appaloosa on both sides of the family so he could become that rare appaloosa herdsire that is homozygous for the appy gene, meaning that every last one of his crias will get a copy of that allele. How great would that be?!
