Compadre is a magnificent true black herdsire from strong black genetics. He is one of the best alpacas ever produced at Alpacas de la Patagonia. Now with numerous offspring on the ground, he is proving his prepotency. He has stamped out in every cria his beautiful head, strong bone structure, solid conformation, fineness, extreme luster, crimp & lock definition. Compadre has extremely strong black color genetics. He has produced 100% black when bred to black and twice when bred to grey has produced grey. When bred to whites, fawns and browns he has thrown black 41% of the time and so far has always produced cria darker than color of the dam. Combine these traits with his 8 lb shear wt, an adjusted spinning fineness of 18 microns at 2 years of age and it's clear that Compadre is a World Class Herd Sire, a must have in any breeding program. Compadre currently has 206 registered offspring on the ground. Compadre is co-owned with Alpacas de la Patagonia

Patagonia's Manuelo

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 30994348DOB: 9/9/200717 yrs
We purchased the beautiful award-winning, multi-COLOR CHAMPION Patagonia's Manuelo at the 2008 Parade of Champions auction. We are very happy to have Manuelo in our herd and very interested to see his progeny as more and more are produced. Our first Manuelo crias have been born (2010 & 2011.) One cria is owned by Val Starr, Starr Alpaca Farm, another was sold at auction and the first female cria born we own. Named Roxce, once again a beautiful animal. Fine, crimpy fleece and this time Bay Black from white dam X medium brown (Manuelo) sire. This female, "Roxce", is bay black, and her dam is white. Manuelo is a well-balanced alpaca, compact with excellent proportions, and a stunning head. His fleece is very dense and fine. When you touch his fleece you can't believe how soft he feels. Manuelo's 2008 fleece was graded by an apprentice 'certified sorter' which resulted in Grade 1 fleece. This male has buttery soft, consistent, very fine fleece. Manuelo is sired by Dawson, a fawn Kaspa son with rose-grey genetics from both his dam and sire. Manuelo's dam, Venus produced Tyna, who has won numerous produce of dam awards and who produced some of Alpacas de la Patagonia's top alpacas such as Lennox and White Rose. As a bonus, Manuelo is one of the most well-mannered, easy to handle alpacas in the known universe. Please visit soon so we can introduce you to Manuelo.

Description

Patagonia's Muchacha, "Cha Cha" for short, is bred to Patagonia's Manuelo, our stunning new medium brown herdsire, for a fall cria. Manuelo has buttery soft, low micron fiber and density that when matched with Cha Cha we believe will produce gorgeous color in a very desirable, low micron, consistent fleece. The pedigrees on Muchacha and Manuelo have no animals in common. Patagonia's Muchacha is a feisty, True Black female. Muchacha is True Black out of a True Black dam and a True Black sire. Her sire is the multi-award winning Patagonia's Compadre. Her conformation, head, and body type are fabulous. She was bred April 28, 2007 to Sun Tzu, a Medium Fawn Studmaster (tm) Herdsire owned by Peggy Stevens, Alpacas at Tucker Creek, to add greater fineness, density and crimp to the fleece of her first cria. Diesel of VA sold in early 2009 for use as a herd sire. Next we bred Muchacha to FCA Maximus, a 3/4 Accoyo Fawn Color Champion, and new herdsire of Almost Paradise Alpacas, and in the summer 2009 she delivered a dark brown male, 'Gunnar of VA.' Max did what we wanted him to which was add more density and fineness to what Cha Cha offers - once again, in color. Gunnar is now sold and will be used as a herd sire as well. Muchacha, bred to PHA Maximus (lots of alpacas named Maximus, aren't there?), delivered a GORGEOUS 15#, caramel colored female cria 9/2/2010. Max has extremely low micron fleece and lots of density. The fleece on the cria is very uniform with small tight corkscrew staples. She has very long legs, great conformation, and a beautiful face and head. And having now given us a girl, we are selling Muchacha. Muchacha is a GREAT mother. Lots of milk, protective. This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for a 2-in-1 package that includes Patagonia's Muchacha, a TB female, a great PROVEN mother that has had very nice offspring and bred to Patagonia's Manuelo, a very elegant herdsire with top quality fleece and conformation. Don't miss this chance!
