Top Quality Production Female
Monroe of VA
HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn

Monroe is gorgeous. Monroe is also one of the smarter alpacas we've had. She is especially curious and she's a pleasure to be around. Her dam and sire are champions. Monroe is solid, very pretty light fawn. I'd say this shade borders between light and medium fawn. Her fleece is very soft, tightly bundled, bright.
Monroe was bred Spring 2010 to our fabulous stud "Express's Accoya Benelli." Monroe delivered a 17# female cria 6/30/2011 with dense, light brown fleece, excellent conformation and proportions, just like both parents. Her dark eyelashes and chiseled features make her pretty as a princess. She's very straight, healthy and strong. Just what we expected and were hoping for.
Fall 2011 we bred Monroe to Accoyo America Road Warrior. And on 9/8/2012 Monroe delivered the most beautiful MF female cria. We are very pleased. She's healthy and has extremely nice EVERYTHING. "Marla" has terrific fiber. Can't wait to work with it. Interesting that Marla's color is darker than Monroe, the dam, with a white sire.
Accoyo America Road Warrior is the son of PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus and Accoyo Ameria Zinnia. In 2011, he won his first Get of Sire competitions at Alpacapalooza, CABA Classic and AOBA National Shows with his first three offspring. Fleece analysis at age 1: AFD 18.8 microns, SD 3.1 microns, CV 16.5%, % over 30 0.4%.

In 2012 we bred Monroe to Patagonia's Manuelo and she delivered a beautiful MB male cria, "Knox", on 9/3/2013. We will likely give Monroe the year off, and in spring 2014 breed her to Baratza our white junior herdsire out of Accoyo America Polaris. Purchase Monroe before June and breed her to your own herdsire, before or after shearing. You will be delighted with this beautiful production female. She is the best!
Monroe's fleece is exquisite. 18.1 AFD; 4.5 SD; 24.6 CV; 1.2% >30m with a comfort factor of 98.8%. This is the type of female you want in your foundation herd.
