2008 SWRAS Blue Ribbon Winner
Huacaya Medium Brown Herdsire
DMAR Apollo
Alpaca, Huacaya, Herdsire (Male) | Medium Brown
AOA #30425194 | DOB: 12/23/2005 (19 yrs)
Sire: Woodsedge Accoyo Augusto's No Fear
30425194<--ari-->White<--color--> Wow! We wish you could see this guy's fleece - it is truly elite. From the brightness and density to the matchstick bundling and high amplitude crimp, this is one of the nicest fleeces you will find, as you migh expect from an Augusto son. Add to that great coverage, nice bone, good conformation, and a winning personality and you have the total package. His first crias arrived in 2005 and the results are spectacular: fleeces mirror their dad's, even when the dam has poor quality fiber, and color varies from white to fawn to dark brown. Each of these crias have wonderful fiber 'helmets' and nicely shaped heads, great bone structure and absolutely beautiful fleeces - we are getting show quality results out of most females when bred to No Fear.

Dam: Cloud Dancer's Hip Hop Babe
30425194<--ari-->True Black<--color-->Cloud Dancer's Hip Hop Babe is a shy girl, but a great mother. She has great conformation and bite. Babe's fiber has luster, uniformity and is relatively fine for a true black. Although her fiber lacks crimp she has proven that bred to the right male she can produce crimp. We can't wait to see what her next cria will look like.
Unfortunately, Hip Hop Babe is now deceased.

Description
DMAR Apollo's fleece has bold crimp, density, lock structure and uniformity to be envied. The judges love his fleece commenting on how soft his handle is. Apollo has a typey head and coverage from his top knot to his toes. Apollo is a proud alpaca standing straight showing off his great conformation. Apollo also has a sweet personality and perfect bite. He is the first to greet our visitors and is always giving alpaca kisses. Apollo is a great herdsire. He will provide your female's cria with correct conformation, fineness, density, and more. He will likely pass on his winning temperment too. Apollo has begun his breeding career and his first cria, DMAR Domingo, has already hit the ground.
DMAR Domingo is a big improvement on his dam. Showing the same density as Apollo with beautiful bold crimp. Both of which the dam doesn't have. Not to mention that Domingo has a sweet personality and he is a real talker to. He is constantly looking for attention.
We will definitely continue using Apollo in our breeding program. Contact us to book your breeding today!
