Polaris is a well conformed male who offers substance of bone, fiber coverage, density and soft handling fleece with extreme brightness, uniform crimp and astonishing growth. His sire is the famous “Accoyo Legacy” from Crescent Moon Ranch and who is now co-owned with Virginia Alpaca Farm & Breeding Co. One-half interest in Legacy sold for $750,000, making "Legacy's market driven price worth 1.5 million dollars... the first Million Dollar Alpaca!" (quote by CMR) Polaris' grandsire on his dam's side, “Accoyo Royal Fawn”, was the previous high selling male alpaca at $650,000. Polaris' dam is the offspring of an awesome Allianza Imported fawn female whose offspring are exceptional. “Peruvian Hermalinda” had a fleece with one of the softest hands we have had the opportunity to experience. Her daughter, “Champagne Ice” was sired by Royal Peruvian Valor, son of “Accoyo Royal Fawn”, the previous high selling male alpaca at $650,000. What more needs to be said about this animal whose genes would definitely have a place in any good breeding program? His first offspring are very nice!

Description

JUST RELEASED FROM OUR FOUNDATION HERD! AND OFFERED FOR A LIMITED TIME. We really don't wish to let her go, but our alpacas are agisted and the herd has become too large. Laylani is our sweetest girl. And that's saying a lot because we also own her two sweet sisters. See the photo of the three at right - they often are seen together in their family group - Laylani is in the center. Bloodlines? just look what this girl offers - 4P Legacy is her grandfather. Great-grandfathers are P Leon, AFA Royal Peruvian Valor, and Silver Del Sol Codi. Another generation back and you find Royal Fawn and The Silversmith. Now that's a deep pedigree! Her frame is graced with good good proportions and solid bone. Her legs and feminine head are well covered with luscious fleece. Laylani's fiber has a soft handle and boasts a nice long staple length of 5 1/2" at her shearing in May '09 at nearly 3 years of age. Probably because of the fineness of her fiber, which held onto hay and bedding, she was sometimes seen attempting to imitate a haybale when show time rolled around. And so she got to stay at home and play. No show record for Laylani, but you won't care when you meet her and see her fiber. Signs of the grey in her pedigree show in her phenotype...her ears and muzzle are a rosy grey and she has a faint tuxedo pattern in her fleece - see the cap between her ears? We've had opinions from various folks that she's either light rose grey or beige. We think genetically she's a 'ghost grey'. Come meet her and vote for the color you think she is! And she's ready to breed this spring...scheduled for a match with true black Navigator's Commander, whose own sire is silver grey.
