Mojave is an exceptional male of virtually unknown heritage in the United States. His fleece is one of the finest available with bundling, density and exquisite handle. He has superior coverage over a correctly conformed and substantial body. The excellent head completes Mojave's essence of perfection as confirmed by five well-known judges! Mojave's dam is now 13 years old with literally no medulated fiber in her soft and well crimped fleece. We believe this highly heritable trait is what we should be breeding for in our herd. At five year of age, Mojave maintains a soft handle and continued bundling that is so desirable in today's market. His first offspring are lovely depicting the color of the dam and the fiber character of Mojave.

Description

Lily's color history is one of those alpaca conundrums. She herself is a medium fawn mildly expressed vicuna pattern. BUT, although both her parents are white, her two cria have both been the same lovely reddish shade of brown! To add to the mystery, both cria were sired by very light studs; one by a dilute light silver grey herd sire and the other by a light fawn, nearly beige stud. Go figure... Her cria look much alike in other ways too, having extreme fineness and charming typy heads. Although Lily has a white blaze and small blue crescents in her eyes, both her cria are solid brown and have black eyes. Lily's fleece has high frequency crimp and is remaining fine into her 5th year. She has excellent leg coverage to the ground. Her conformation is correct and square and she exhibits a feminine and correct head. I'd choose her next breeding to a herd sire who can add some additional architecture to her current assets while retaining her desirable fineness and crimp style. Lily is the eldest of our 'three sisters trio', and during their journey east from their birthplace in Oregon, Laylani, a weanling at the time, cuddled up to big sister Lily for her comfort. Everyone who meets Lily is drawn to her calm sweet personality. She is a farm favorite.
