Service Sire: Legend's Challenger of KPR
1384659<--ari-->Light Silver Grey<--color-->Challenger has earned the right to be called one of the few Herdsires who continue to stamp out outstanding crias! His 116 crias have earned 337 Show Awards! That averages out to about 3 awards per offspring! Of those, 120 were Champions, Reserve Champions, or Blue Ribbons! (235 were all 3rd and above) And when you consider that some of the Dams have been way below Challengers quality, it elevates his breeding value well above the rest!
He seems to throw his fleece character into his cria almost every time, and these characters are just what the judges - and the industry - are looking for! Tremendous density while maintaining great fineness, and bundling that is very tight with excellent separation of bundles.
Challenger has extremely strong color genetics and has had 92 Black or Grey cria out of the 116 registered cria he has sired. And his cria just keep on winning Championships!
When you see your female give birth to a Challenger cria, it literally takes your breath away! Every Challenger cria on our ranch has made us so excited we could hardly wait for show-season!
Some of his cria will be posted on our "for sale" page and that's a great way to get his bloodline into your herd without his expensive breeding fee. Several of our females are breed to him and that option gives you his winning genes and also the top-winning genes of our female for you to continue to work with in your herd. That gives you three different options to be able to breed his power into your herd-line.
Challenger is co-owned with Heatherbrook Farms LLC and Providence Alpaca Farm.

Description
"Scarlett" is really a rich mahogany with black points and she is a favorite in the meadow. Her striking conformation and regal essence always attracts our visitors. She is a great mother and easily handled her pregnancy, birth, and nursing.
Scarlett's breeding statistics:
Density 43.75 SP is 10.3:1
She has super glands (level 4 of 4) which gives her fleece luster and brightness. Her micron was 23 with a CV of 19.8 giving her an excellent handle.
Scarlett won a ribbon in every show she entered until we retired her for breeding. The judges said "Nice bundling with strong healthy locks. Good density and consistent crimp. Very nice brightness".
Her 1st Cria - "Bullet" (DB) Bullet won 1st at the AOBA Nationals 2009 and 1st at Southern Select 2009 and was sold before we could test his breeding statistics. His fleece is very soft, has great luster and density, and he carries it on a perfect frame.
Her 2nd Cria - "First Lady" (TB) is everything we were dreaming of when we bred her to our herdsire Frayne. We didn't show because we are keeping her for a foundation female. We just had her fiber stats and are pleased that she has a SP of 11.5:1, density of 51.25. That's great stats to work with in a breeding program!
Her 3rd Cria - "Robin Hood" (looks just like her with black tips) has fantastic fleece and he is a favorite in the meadow. He has the coloring of a fox, which is why his name is Robin Hood, after the Disney movie.
Scarlett comes with a breeding of your choice to any of our Champion Herdsires.
Scarlett's parents are both Multi-Champion Producers and then both their parents are Multi-Champion Producers - giving Scarlett 2 generations of Champion-Producers in her bloodline!
