Capellini is one of my most favorite alpacas! Actually, I think she is perhaps my very favorite. When she was young, Capellini was always the first one to come to me, always the one to remain by my side, and always the one that seemed to enjoy being touched the most. If an alpaca could talk, I would say that Capellini would be the first to master the English language. Capellini supersedes all the descriptions of the alpaca personality because to her, you would have to add the definition of being “comfortable in her own skin”. Not only does Capellini have this great nature about her but she is an outstanding, fabulous, incredible, off-the-charts alpaca! She won blue ribbons in her show career! She produces Champion offspring! She gets pregnant easily! She births easily! She’s a great mom! Capellini is the dream of every alpaca owner. Capellini has very cool genetics. Her sire is the not-so-well-known, True Black 4Peruvian Olajuwon. He has produced some of the greatest offspring here in the US. Her dam is The Alpaca Trading Company’s 4Peruvian Marinera. It was a miracle mix! Capellini is the dam to our own Herd Sire, Torbio’s Maserati. He was blessed with Capellini’s sweet, friendly, personality and gifted with a blast-all fleece from both Capellini and Torbio. It is so lustrous, it is so locked-up, it is so dense, words do not do it justice. Maserati has the capacity to improve any characteristic on any female because he has all the bases covered, thanks to mom and dad! He can ONLY improve upon; even upon the best!

Description

Maserati is the “Renaissance Man” for Suri Alpacas. He has is all! In the words of the wonderful Jill Bergman; Let’s start with his fleece. Open him up, anywhere on his body, including his legs, and you’ll find lustrous, ropey, dense, fine locks. His consistency is incredible. His density is incredible. His luster is incredible. The quality and the quantity of his fleece is exceptional. One thing that is very important to me is an alpaca’s temperament. Maserati not only is very obedient and very gentle, he is perhaps the most intelligent alpaca on my farm. I’ve been “clicker-training” him and he is the most receptive and the absolute fastest learner that I have. The only limiting factor in his training is the trainer, me. Let’s go to his pedigree. His sire is the Herdsire of Champions, Accoyo Torbio. He has all the positive, Accoyo traits that the pre-potent Torbio has been known to pass on. His dam is My Peruvian Capellini, a multiple blue ribbon dam of exceptional quality. She is by the rare and highly sought after Olajuwon, a true black known for throwing beautiful grey offspring. Capellini’s dam, 4Peruvian Marinera, is one of the The Alpaca Trading Company’s finest producing dams. Capellini has phenomenal fleece coming back, year after year, and is the one in Maserati’s pedigree passing on a keen intelligence and beautiful color genes. This production package of AccoyoTorbio and Capellini is rock-solid! In the Championship circle, Maserati competed against and won Champion over the male that won championships at both the AOBA Nationals and the All American Futurity. In the shows that Maserati participated, he always came home with top winnings. He’s a multiple champion in both halter and fleece shows. In his first year of production, Maserati produced 4 color champions on our small ranch, one of which took Judge's Choice at the AOBA National Conference! He has definitely proved to be an incredible, consistent herd sire. Thanks to Rod and Jill Berman for the privilege of owning this very incredible champion! Maserati is standing stud at Triple H Ranch in Colorado for the summer of 2018!
