31020978<--ari-->Light Fawn<--color-->Full Peruvian
An Accoyo son of Felix and a grandson of Caligula on his dam's side, Calypsa possesses a regal bearing and perfect conformation. With his commanding presence, it is no surprise that Calypsa captured a first place at the 2001 AOBA Nationals. His lustrous, champagne-colored fleece is extremely fine and dense. His AFD at 4 years of age was a low 22.5 microns. This year he sheared an amazing 11 pounds of fleece! He has won either first or second place in every Spin-Off he has entered.
He has 25 outstanding crias on the ground showing a variety of colors including beige, fawn, light brown, true black, rose gray, and silver gray. Only four are white. Calypsa is one of those rare Accoyos who lets the color of the dam pass through while passing along his density and fineness to his crias.
At the 2005 East Meets West Auction, Calypsa's daughter, Brookhollow's Athena, was the highest selling female at $60,000!<--description-->

Description
If we said it once, we said it a thousand times . . . "If you ever decide to sell Jasmine, give us first dibs!"
We understand that it was hard to let this one go, but we are glad that our friends, the Beauchner family of Shepherd Hills Alpacas, decided to sell Jasmine to us. This is a very special alpaca.
We could write about how Jasmine first caught our eye as a cria at Kit Hower's Blankstone Farm where she was boarded. We could spend hours talking about her extreme fineness, wonderful handle and bundles of crimpy locks. We could even bend your ear with the story of how she pranced into her first showring and left with a BLUE RIBBON and how she came EVER SO CLOSE to the Lavender Banner too. And if we were bragging, we would tell you how this first cria from the Beauchner's first female held her own against 14 other amazing beige alpacas at MAPACA '08 . . . competitors from farms with HUNDREDS of alpacas.
We would rather tell you how much we appreciate the countless hours of loving care that went into making Jasmine the absolute joy of an alpaca that she is today. She is an elegant young lady and we are proud to have her grace our pastures as a foundation female star!
Jasmine's first cria is a gorgeous MSG female out of our super fine and dense Lancaster's Silver Centaur. Her second is a stunning Centaur MF boy, also out of Silver Centaur. Her third Centaur cria is just as amazing as the first two, this time in light fawn. We are holding Jasmine open to wait on our Black Warrior to start his breeding career. Since Jasmine produces color . . . even grey . . . we are shooting for a true black version of her previous performances!
