CPeruvian Axtion Jaxon

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 816025DOB: 8/10/199925 yrs
AJ is a predictable color breeder - no exceptions. AJ has over 85 crias on the ground, 67% are black, 32% are brown, and 1% is gray– from dams from white to black. When bred to black, 100% are black. Color is no problem for this boy. AJ is a tried and true, Full Peruvian, non-fading black macho. His fleece is soft (2000 micron of 18, 2007 22.0 AT 8 YEARS OLD!), crimpy, and virtually free of guard hair. He is full Alianza, alpacas noted for maintaining fineness as they age. AJ has proven himself in the show and with his progeny. A four-time Reserve Champion, AJ has also won more than 20 blue ribbons for halter, composite, and fleece including a blue ribbon fleece award at AOBA. Most recently AJ won the coveted Get of Sire against two white, highly competitive males - very rare for a black. Many of his crias are already in the winners circle garnering first and second places as well as champion and reserve champion awards for halter, fleece, shorn, and composite. Our partners in AJ, Kings Ranch Alpacas, are selling their half interest. If you are interested, please contact them directly. Their email is: [email protected]

Dam: Hisami

Hisami

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 831944DOB: 6/8/200123 yrs
This young dam has already produced 2 outstanding black daughters, the award-winning Ishbel and Iona, who can both be viewed here on Alpacanation. The only reason Hisami is available for sale is that we are keeping both of her girls for our own herd, so need to diversify our genetics. Hisami is a beautiful true black daughter of Danko, possibly the top grey herdsire in the nation, whose offspring have set auction price records and taken ribbons in every showring. She has extremely fine (20.3 AFD), soft-handled, non-fading true black fleece, comes from a solid black and grey lineage and is an excellent mother and milker. Her dam is a "blue black" Macintosh daughter selected from the Alpacas de la Patagonia herd, with two generations of black in her background and a micron of 24.4 at 4 years of age. Hisami has great coverage, a lovely typey head, good conformation and a perfect (never trimmed) bite. In November 2003 she gave birth to Ishbel, an award-winning bay black (now turning dark silver/dark rose grey) daughter sired by El R Peruvian Luciano, a rose grey son of Peruvian Platinum. In November 2004 she produced Iona, a magnificent, 20lb jet black daughter of CPeruvian Axtion Jaxon, the outstanding champion black herdsire. Iona is not included in this price! Hisami sells bred to our Champion silver grey herdsire, Ben MacDhui, with free board until Iona is weaned in the Spring of 2005. Hisami delivers the superfine blacks everyone is looking for, Dhui is renowned for his density and has produced only black and grey offspring to date, so this cria should be spectacular - don't miss this rare opportunity!

PC Peruvian Knightrider

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 824488DOB: 3/18/200123 yrs
We are proud to include the Champion, 2X AOBA National ribbon-winning, full Peruvian, true black PC Peruvian Knightrider on our list of quality, colored herdsires. The son of two true black Peruvian imports, 5Peruvian Black Ice and 6Peruvian Anastasia, Knightrider offers rare black West Coast genetics in a magnificent package! Knightrider has excellent conformation and beautiful dense, crimpy fiber with great staple length and handle, particularly for a mature black breeding male. Knightrider will reside at Thistledown for breedings in Virginia from approximately November 15 - May 15 each year, spending the remainder of his time with his coowner, Susquehanna Farms in Maryland. Knightrider is the perfect choice for those breeders looking to diversify their black genetics, as his sire, 5Peruvian Black Ice, has few offspring on the East Coast. Knightrider is also one of only a handful of solid true black, full Peruvian "double-black" males in the country, with two true black parents. Proven to produce quality color, including black out of beige and medium fawn, maroon out of grey, black out of fawn/white pinto, plus dark brown out of white.

Description

Iona is a spectacular, sleek and shiny, half-Peruvian, jet black Jaxon / Danko granddaughter. Over 20lbs at birth, at three weeks old, she weighed 40lbs, a testament to her mother's amazing milking abilities. Iona has incredibly glossy, fine black fiber, and is as black as coal, with absolutely no bleaching of her cria tips, and no sign of any other color anywhere on her body. Her paternal grandsire, CPeruvian Jaxon, is a nationally renowned black Peruvian herdsire and her maternal grandsire, Danko is possibly the top grey herdsire in the country. Her dam is Hisami, an extremely fine true black Danko daughter (20.3 AFD @ 11 months), with beautiful soft-handled fleece, a lovely typey head, very nice conformation and a friendly, curious nature. Iona's maternal grandmother is a "blue black" Macintosh daughter, with two generations of black in her background and an AFD of 24.4 at 4 years of age. Iona's sire is the 4X Reserve Champion true black Peruvian male CPeruvian Axtion Jaxon, who has a remarkable show record and superfine, crimpy fleece. In his first year AJ's fiber analysis was AFD 18.4, SD 3.7, CV 20.0, >30 1.4%, which is phenomenal for a true black, and he has won numerous first place and championship ribbons in major halter and fleece competitions, including first place black fleece at the 2003 AOBA National Fleece Show. Iona is currently bred with our full Peruvian, true black Champion, Knightrider. This is the first time in 8 years we have ever bred black to black, because we believe this to be that rare combination which offers the potential to produce a superior black offspring.
