Rocky Red has produced over 30 crias, all suri...many out of colored imports! He consistently adds a bold twisted lock to his offspring. Regardless of color they are easy to identify in the pasture. He adds his own incredible coverage to his crias and his dams solid conformation. Rocky is a level headed male, a stud in the pasture and gentleman on the lead rope. He is a reliable teaser. Two of his crias, Razzle Dazzle and Ripple, qualified for the Futurity sale where they sold for over $25,000. We are excited to add this great proven herdsire to our list...Thanks, Andy and Cheryl!

WLK Lunar Eclipse

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 1431490DOB: 11/29/200321 yrs
Lunar Eclipse (we call him Lee) has a tremendous amount of potential. Out of one of the finest True Black herdsires in the country, Sylvestre El Boliviano, he has fantastic luster and lock with good bone. His dam is a beautiful True Black Chilean import. When we first saw him at about 2 months of age, we knew he was really special. Very tightly curled locks to the skin with blinding luster, especially rare for a True Black. We bought 1/2 interest in him from Mike and Janet Wilkins in a heartbeat. He immediately did well in the show ring as we expected, but one of the best surprises was yet to come, from True Black to Silver Grey. While we already had 2 True Black herdsires, Lee was special enough to add him to our herd anyway...it was certainly a nice surprise to have him grow in Silver Grey down his neck and back after shearing. Notice: "Lee's" first has arrived! Out of a dam who is white on both sides all the way back, we have a beautiful male. He is a medium brown with a distinct "copper" color in the sun. Superb luster, density, lock and coverage...excellent hand.

Description

Her name really fits, she's OUTTA SIGHT! At the Great Western in Denver '04, Julio said her fleece was very remarkable...very consistant lock and luster moving from the white to the brown..."The fleece of fleeces". Her dam is a fancy with 3 colors and her sire is the well known Rocky Red of Tillman's Suri Alpacas. "Ossie" is a real sweetheart with a great disposition. Patterns are getting really hot and this girl is an exceptional example. Ossie was bred to both Ringo and Lunar Eclipse...that cria was born on Dec. 7th...a beautiful, copper colored male with a splash of white on his face and two small white front socks. We're guessing this is a Lee cria. Ossie has exceptional fleece as do both of these sires, this is definitely a herdsire quality male.
