Prime Time, or "Pete" as we call him is exceptional in all aspects, and he's out of one of the great true blacks, Sudden Impact. He has great luster, lock definition, conformation and personality. He is so friendly and easy going, he is the one we normally catch for hands on with visitors. His fiber is also "slick" and cleans out very easily, very little vegetation sticks and hardly any matting. We used him ourselves for the first time in Oct. 2002. That first cria is a beautiful Med. Fawn GIRL out of a dam who is white on both sides all the way back. Certainly a positive show of color from this nice male (that girl threw a TB cria on her first breding to a TB...great color genetics!). Let's face it, luster and hand are THE most important traits...and Pete passes that to every cria! Be sure to go to the AN site of Rancho Milagro and see Mills Avenue Amos, another stunning 'Pete' cria! We just learned that Amos' fawn fiber is now going gray! Another cria out of a pinto dam (outside breeding) is also going gray...way to go Pete! Note: In the first Suri Network Summer Symposium and the largest Suri Fleece Show EVER (284 Suri fleeces)...2 of Pete's juvenile cria had a great showing! FMR Fantasea (TB/W Pinto) won Reserve Color Champion and FMR Mr. Majestic (Dark Maroon) won 1st Place (not enought in class for a championship)...way to go Pete...again! Pete passes his incredible luster and hand to all his cria! Majestic also won 1st in fleece at the Mid-America Alpaca Show '06 and 1st AND best luster at TxOLAN '07!

Dam: KPR Raindance

Special!

KPR Raindance

SuriBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 844078DOB: 6/11/200123 yrs
We bought Raindance as part of a package deal. We liked not only the way she looked, we already owned several others out of this same herdsire (Senor Bolivar) and with 4 reserve champions knew she'd be a great addition. Her first cria (Misty Rain of FMR) did not disappoint, Blue Ribbon at her first show at 7 months! Raindance is a very good mom, lots of milk and no trouble birthing. She had a very nice Light Brown female cria this spring (3rd and 4th pictures). Her third cria is a drop dead gorgeous MF female out of Ricochet. All of Ricochet's cria have incredible luster, coverage, lock, density...he's one great herdsire! Note: Raindance's last cria was an excellent Ricochet male (Rebound). At his debut show he placed first in a small class, however the show combined all first and second place solid males were brought in for a solid color champion, 12 animals who received 1st! Animals ranged the full color spectrum from white to True Black, Rebound got the Reserve Champion, so a solid showing in his first show! This cria that is due any day should be very nice, If it's a girl, what a great deal!

Ricochet

SuriHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 830121DOB: 10/9/200123 yrs
Exciting news! Ricochet's pinto male cria from fall '05 (FMR Samurai) won Color Campion in Denver's Great Western in May '06 and also just took 2nd at AOBA's National Show in Louisville 2 weeks later. We also just had another Ricochet cria, a super high luster (of course!) MF female out of a LF dam. Ricochet is a Full Peruvian grandson of Inca Hoots. White with Med. Brown around his eyes and dark pigment in his nose and nails. He has some of the best lock and luster you'll see...and staple length, wow! Shorn at 18 months he had locks over 14" and at a show 3 months later planning to show for confirmation in the shorn class, he had grown too much and had to show full fleece! Shorn the second time 11 months later he had 9" locks. He settled his first females Sept. '03. The first picture is taken out in the pasture, no prep...look at the luster! His cria are exceptional! He puts a good suri head, great coverage (chin to toes), intense lock and very high luster on his cria! Note: Ricochet continues to impress us as a herdsire. We had 2 drop-dead gorgeous cria out of Ricochet in fall ('05). One is all white (Symphony's Concerto) and the other white/medium fawn pattern (Samurai) (both dams are white)...both have exceptional lock, luster and coverage; and both took 1st place at their debut show! Check out the AN site for Rancho Milagro and take a look at Peruvian Ric Roc, a Full Peruvian Ricochet cria! As Ricochet's cria continue to impress us (and the judges) we have increased his breeding fee in accordance with the quality he is producing compared to other herdsires and their fees.

Description

Stormy is a sweet girl who has the very high luster and excellent hand of her sire, Prime Time. Her dam has given us 3 exceptional cria, Stormy being one of them. Since she has more of a flat lock, she did not do quite as well as we hoped in the ring, but she did fairly well. Her excellent confirmation and fiber characteristics held her above others in her class. With her solid color genetics one would expect good dark colors if bred to a black or maroon sire. She has a good solid color with black points (feet, ears, nose) and pigment. Stormy is a good mom with good milk, her cria was very vigorous and is growing nicely Stormy has been exposed to Ricochet for a Spring '09 cria.
