Sandpiper

SuriBred (Female)White, Medium Brown
AOA# 824089DOB: 9/6/200024 yrs
Sandy was part of our initial alpaca purchase. She was shown as a juvey and did very well, see awards below. Her first cria, out of Fruzane Noir made a beautiful cross with her sire, Sudden Impact. That cria is listed on our foundation page, FMR Kyann...a beautiful maroon. Her second cria is a bay black out of Fire Engine, FMR Miss Mocha. Third was a Pinto male, white with MB spots, much like Sandy. Sandy's fiber is beautiful when spun, she's an excellent mom with lots of milk. There are alot of crias left in this nice girl. Her spring cria (FMR Casper) came late and it was really hot, so we elected to hold her until fall for breeding. She was bred to Diamond Man, Full Accoyo proven herdsire out of Uribe and gave us a beautiful girl who is a spittin image of Sandy. She's beautiful, definitely show quality and destined to be a solid foundation dam. This price does not include the cria, however we will work with you to include her if desired.

Silver Gray!

WLK Lunar Eclipse

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 1431490DOB: 11/29/200321 yrs
Lunar Eclipse (we call him Lee) has a tremendous amount of potential. Out of one of the finest True Black herdsires in the country, Sylvestre El Boliviano, he has fantastic luster and lock with good bone. His dam is a beautiful True Black Chilean import. When we first saw him at about 2 months of age, we knew he was really special. Very tightly curled locks to the skin with blinding luster, especially rare for a True Black. We bought 1/2 interest in him from Mike and Janet Wilkins in a heartbeat. He immediately did well in the show ring as we expected, but one of the best surprises was yet to come, from True Black to Silver Grey. While we already had 2 True Black herdsires, Lee was special enough to add him to our herd anyway...it was certainly a nice surprise to have him grow in Silver Grey down his neck and back after shearing. Notice: "Lee's" first has arrived! Out of a dam who is white on both sides all the way back, we have a beautiful male. He is a medium brown with a distinct "copper" color in the sun. Superb luster, density, lock and coverage...excellent hand.

Description

This is a beautiful Maroon/Mahogany girl. A Two-time Blue Ribbon winner, she'll be a great asset to any breeding program. This is a cross in lineage of two great Chilean herdsires, Sudden Impact and Fruzane Noir with a wonderful hand, lock, luster and density. Shorn at 1 year of age with 9" to 10" locks and 3.5 lbs. She had a very nice TB male out of Angel's Advocate in '06 which was purchased by Mike Schmit of Brainstorm nursery. In '07 Kyann gave us a beautiful TB female out of Lunar Eclipse, but unfortunately she was exposed to the "snots" shortly after birth and we lost her at 1 week of age. She is now rebred to Lunar Eclipse for a fall '08 cria. Lee really carries the color to his cria...we get browns and blacks out of white dams, so expect a nicely locked, high luster True Black out of this breeding. Even if she has a male, this is a good price for this quality proven girl...if it is a female, this is a steal!
