Lunar Eclipse (we call him Lee) has a tremendous amount of potential. Out of one of the finest True Black herdsires in the country, Sylvestre El Boliviano, he has fantastic luster and lock with good bone. His dam is a beautiful True Black Chilean import. When we first saw him at about 2 months of age, we knew he was really special. Very tightly curled locks to the skin with blinding luster, especially rare for a True Black. We bought 1/2 interest in him from Mike and Janet Wilkins in a heartbeat. He immediately did well in the show ring as we expected, but one of the best surprises was yet to come, from True Black to Silver Grey. While we already had 2 True Black herdsires, Lee was special enough to add him to our herd anyway...it was certainly a nice surprise to have him grow in Silver Grey down his neck and back after shearing. Notice: "Lee's" first has arrived! Out of a dam who is white on both sides all the way back, we have a beautiful male. He is a medium brown with a distinct "copper" color in the sun. Superb luster, density, lock and coverage...excellent hand.

Misty is as sweet as they come. We worked with her early on as I knew she was definitly a show quality girl. Her first showing won a Blue Ribbon! She has incredible luster, a cool slick hand and very nicely penciled locks; as you'd expect from a girl out from the line of PPeruvian Bruxo on the sire's side. Very good coverage from her chin to her toes. We really don't want to sell her, but it is a business! This price does not include her TB cria at side, but this can be arranged if desired...that cria is especially nice. Note: As this girl matures she is really becoming a fine young lady. Excellent twisting locks, great luster and a very good personality. She finished 2nd in a very tough Level V show. Jude Anderson took a long time to decide between 1st and 2nd, so she's right up there! I purchased that 1st place animal! Unfortuantely we lost Misty's first cria. It was an exceptional MF female and we were very dismayed by this loss. Misty had an exceptional true black fall '07 cria. We bred her to Ricochet for her fall '08 cria.

Description

What an appropriate name! When "Milky" as we call her was born, she had the milk mustache and it just made sense. Her dam has no black in her background, Lunar Eclipse has always put alot of color in his cria. He also was one of the most tightly locked animals we'd ever seen. Milky has exceptional luster, especially for a black, and everything you look for in fiber characteristice. Certainly a show quality girl and destined to be a fine foundation dam. Lee actually turned gray as he matured...we wonder with the combination of Black and Fawn genetics and her sire's color change if gray might not be in her future...if not her I'd say her cria will likely have a good chance of being gray.
