Exciting news! Ricochet's pinto male cria from fall '05 (FMR Samurai) won Color Campion in Denver's Great Western in May '06 and also just took 2nd at AOBA's National Show in Louisville 2 weeks later. We also just had another Ricochet cria, a super high luster (of course!) MF female out of a LF dam. Ricochet is a Full Peruvian grandson of Inca Hoots. White with Med. Brown around his eyes and dark pigment in his nose and nails. He has some of the best lock and luster you'll see...and staple length, wow! Shorn at 18 months he had locks over 14" and at a show 3 months later planning to show for confirmation in the shorn class, he had grown too much and had to show full fleece! Shorn the second time 11 months later he had 9" locks. He settled his first females Sept. '03. The first picture is taken out in the pasture, no prep...look at the luster! His cria are exceptional! He puts a good suri head, great coverage (chin to toes), intense lock and very high luster on his cria! Note: Ricochet continues to impress us as a herdsire. We had 2 drop-dead gorgeous cria out of Ricochet in fall ('05). One is all white (Symphony's Concerto) and the other white/medium fawn pattern (Samurai) (both dams are white)...both have exceptional lock, luster and coverage; and both took 1st place at their debut show! Check out the AN site for Rancho Milagro and take a look at Peruvian Ric Roc, a Full Peruvian Ricochet cria! As Ricochet's cria continue to impress us (and the judges) we have increased his breeding fee in accordance with the quality he is producing compared to other herdsires and their fees.

We are pleased to anounce an agreement with Tom and Denise Sowles of Sahalie Suri Alpacas to purchase their half of USA Ringo. Our special thanks to both of them for working with us to make this a reality! Ringo is on our farm to stay! Maroon third generation colored suri future herdsire with incredible locks and luster and a perfect suri head. Ringo has tons of color genetics behind him and conformation and fiber qualities on the surface. There is no denying this male will be an asset to any breeding program. He began breeding fall '05 and we can't wait to see what he produces with the strength of his pedigree. Consider adding maroon or even rose gray to your color chart! Note: We warned you that his fee would go up when the first cria hit the ground. We have our first Ringo crias; they are outstanding! Two of them might go rose gray...Quesar was a rose gray. Too bad you waited! As these cria grow...wow! Loads of tightly locked and lustrous fiber, strong confirmation, good bone, great personality...Ringo's "git'n 'er done"!

Description

Another fine cria out of a Ricochet breeding! Ricochet's exceptional luster, lock, hand and staple. Symphony is one our best dams, very good milk, good mom, easy births...in fact, we've never seen her have a cria...has them cleaned up and nursing so fast we've missed every birth! So far, she's passed that on to her other daughters...what a great asset! Symphony's thrown color out of colored sires and Ricochet has color in his background. It would be reasonable to expect color when bred to color and white when bred to white...no guarantees, of course, but reasonable expectations! Concerto is maturing very nicely, what a sweet girl...This Ricochet daughter is sure to put fine crias on the ground for you!
