Ultima is one amazing stud! He won a reserve champion at The Great Midwest Alpaca Festival under Mike Safley at age SIX. Ultima has a very fine and uniform fleece still at age six. He has improved the fleece on every cria he has thrown. His sire is the legendary Peruvian Hemingway and is very well known. His dam, Alta, is Don Julio daughter and is a little less known. Alta, who was owned by Dr. David TenHulzen, won first place in the Juvenile White Huacaya Female class at the Peruvian Legacy Futurity Show in Scottsdale, AZ. The show was judged by three individual judges: Maggie Krieger, Jodi Sleeper-Robinson, and Dr. Julio Sumar. At the same show, Alta won Grand Champion Breed- Juvenile Huacaya Females (all colors), and Grand Champion: Color- White Huacayas (both sexes, all ages). Ultima would be an asset on any farm.

Description

Yia Yia Dia is the perfect example of what Ultima can do. Yia Yia Dia’s Dam, was a dark full Chilean production girl and Ultima really fined her up and increased density and character. Yia Yia Dia has had her first cria this year, and it was a wonderful white girl that we are planning on retaining to replace her dam in our herd. Yia Yia is a great mother and her cria has grown very quickly. We are very excited about the cria and can not wait to get her histogram back. The cria received her dam’s fineness and has an incredibly long staple. Currently, Yia Yia is bred back to our Excel. We have seen a couple of Excel crias out of Ultima dam’s and we have loved everyone of them. There is something about crossing those Hemingway and Victor lines that is like magic! Update, Yia Yia delivers wonderful female cria sired by XL. We are leaving her open to get back to a spring breeding schedule. Yia Yia Dia sells with a breeding to any male owned by Kinney Valley Alpacas. She also sells with all the usual Kinney Valley Alpacas guarantees.
