........... RETIRED-REFERENCE ONLY........... Chantilly Lace is one of our original foundation females. Imported from the Macuzani region of Peru during the third Peruvian importation in 1995, she has proven herself time and again as a dependable mom with easy births, ample milk, and excellent bonding with her crias. Chantilly's crias have excellent conformation and very nice fiber. One of her sons, Avalon's Peruvian Chancellor, mutiple ribbon winner, is pictured at right. Chantilly's 2008 cria is one of the first by Avalon's Peruvian Impresario (Rio), our multiple Color Champion and blue ribbon winner. This handsome, white son, Avalon's Peruvian Chicote, appears to have inherited his sire's excellent conformation, style, and bright crimpy fiber. Look for pictures and a separate listing in the Alpacas for Sale secton. We have decided not to rebreed Chantilly given her age. We thank her for her years of service to us and for the many wonderful crias she has produced. She can now look forward to a retirement where she can enjoy her remaining years with us here at Avalon Farm helping the other girls look after each year's new group of crias.
