Priscilla is a very pretty, strongly conformed female from the Peruvian Camelot line. We were fortunate enough to get her as a cria from Sleeping Monk Farm in NH with the intention of adding her to our foundation herd. However, we decided to offer Priscilla for sale in order to continue to make available good quality females to our customers. In September, Priscilla gave birth to a very handsome, rich mahogany colored, son of our true black color champion, Lace's Peruvian Black Lance. This spectacular color is unlike anything we have seen in our crias previously. With PrimeTime's birth, Priscilla has continued to produce crias with deep colored fiber as she did with her dark brown 2006 daughter, Avalon's Primrose. We were excited to see what she would produce with our ultra fine herdsire, Andiamo. In 2008, Priscilla gave birth to a handsome light fawn Andiamo son, Avalon's Prado. His fiber is very fine and crimpy and we look forward to his first shearing and regrowth to really see what his dam has given us. We are so excited with the Tri-Star crias this past year that we dediced to breed Priscilla to him. We expect their colorful cria in August. Description

Primrose is a striking maiden with dark brown, crimpy and fine fiber. A lovely head, excellent conformation, good bone, and full coverage complete the picture. She has lots of style and presence. Primrose has an impressive pedigree with deep dark color genetics, including such well known males as Peruvian Matador, Peruvian Camelot, and Peruvian Bueno. Both her dam and her sire are blue ribbon winners. Priscilla, Primrose's dam, has proven to be an excellent producer. She got pregnant readily, gave birth without any difficulty, and had ample milk for her cria. We look for these qualities in our Foudation production females, as they are traits typically passed from generation to generation. We offer Primrose with her first breeding to any of our herdsires. She can be bred this spring 2009 to the buyer's choice of champion AFA Herdsires. We recommend one of our black color champions, Lace’s Peruvian Black Lance or Our Peruvian Black Jag. The choice can be yours. EVERY FEMALE purchased from Avalon Farm is eligible for reduced price breedings to any solely owned AFA herdsire FOR HER BREEDING LIFE, regardless of owner.
