We have Snowmass Alpacas to thank for the exceptional pedigree of this extraordinary young herdsire. His rich brown fiber has a long staple length with "vicuna fineness and uniformity, yet added crimp and density." He is strong, stout, and perfect in his balance and conformation. Wow, dark color, long staple length, fiber fineness, density, and strong bone all in one package! No wonder that Crimson was described by Julie Skinner as their "Number ONE 2002 Andean Bronze son". The Great Midwest Alpaca Fest was our only opportunity to show Crimson before he went into service, and we were delighted with the result! Before awarding him the blue ribbon and Reserve Color Champion, Judge Kristin Buhrmann described his fiber as "uniformly fine, bright, and dense." We look forward to the superior fiber quality we expect him to bring to our colored breeding program. UPDATE: Exciting news! Crimson's is producing GREY, ROSE-GREY, and BLACK! Ask about Avalon Farm's Special Program of DISCOUNTED "CUSTOMER" AND "PRIORITY" STUD FEES!. Our breeding contract includes: 60 DAYS FREE BOARD for dam and the cria by her side AND a 30 DAY LIVE CRIA GUARANTEE. "Drive-By" and Mobile breedings may be possible by special arrangement...call or email for details.

Dam: Aliccoya Peruvian Marissa

Aliccoya Peruvian Marissa

HuacayaBred (Female)Beige
AOA# 848679DOB: 7/11/200321 yrs
Marissa is a very nice 3/4 Accoyo lineage female from Caligula, El Moustachio, and Hemingway bloodlines. This attractive female has the substance and bone for which the Accoyo line is known. Her crimpy fiber has very good density and consistency. Marissa delivered her first cria in 2005, a handsome beige male. As we expected, she delivered easily and has proven to be an excellent mother, just like her own dam, Mariposa. Marissa was not bred back right away as the male we selected to breed her to did not become available in 2005 as planned. When it became too late for a winter breeding, we made the decision to hold her open for rebreeding in 2006. She was rebred in July for a June 2007 cria...perfect timing for the Upper Peninsula. Marissa produced a beautiful beige female cria with charming "spunk" and personality! In 2008 Marissa produced a very pretty black female by Autumn Alpaca's Peruvian Lord Stanley, light brown, 6x Color Champion and multiple blue ribbon winner. As a juvenile, this youngster earned a Color Championship at her first show! Since we were delighted with the result of this match, we rebred Marissa to Stanley for a repeat. From this SAME BREEDING they produced a white male cria in 2009...go figure...genetics! Look for the listings of Marissa's crias, Mikayla, Maya, and Maestro on our sales list. EVERY FEMALE purchased from Avalon Farm is eligible for reduced price breedings to any solely owned AFA herdsire FOR HER BREEDING LIFE, regardless of owner.

Service Sire: Avalon's Peruvian Tri-Star

Avalon's Peruvian Tri-Star

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 849142DOB: 10/13/200321 yrs
Another winner from our Accoyo/Allianza cross female, Celeste, and our 1/2 Accoyo Royal Fawn son, Aristocrat. Tri-Star is the third in a line of color champions, and he carries on this proud tradition. Like his older brothers, Tri-Star's bright white fiber has a pleasing soft hand organized in crimpy bundles that cover him from topknot to toe. His typey, conformationally correct frame completes the picture, making him a "complete package". At his first show, the 2004 GMAF, Tri-Star won the blue even though he had JUST turned 6 months old. And then, again, at the NIAE he took the blue as the youngest in the white yearling class. Judge Shannon McConnell stated that his balance & proportion were excellent & that his fiber was extremely bright and consistent in lock, bundles and fineness from front to back. Later, in that same show, he took 2nd in the Bred and Owned Yearling class in a competitive field of 4 NIAE Color Champions! Once again, he was the youngest in the class! Tri-Star has continued to follow in the footsteps of his Color Champion brothers, earning two Color Championships, a Reserve Color Championship, and numberous blue ribbons. At the MOPACA Invitational, Maggie Krieger selected Tri-Star from a field of 60 quality white males to be the Color Champion, citing his "elite fleece" as something we should all be breeding to achieve.
