This fall Bretta hit another home run with a handsome, dark male cria sired by fawn, multiple color champion Fistfull of Dollars ("Clint"). He's a handsome guy with great genetic potential coming through from grandsires Peruvian Winchester and Peruvian Inca's Ranson. Look for pictures and an individual AN listing to be coming soon. We looked for an Inca's Ransom offspring to add to our foundation herd for years and Bretta is just what we were seeking and with COLOR!!! Her fiber is very fine, crimpy and bright. And her coverage is exceptional. Inca's Ransom is known for passing along great coverage and beautiful heads to his offspring---and, Bretta is no exception! We are excited that we had the opportunity to breed Bretta to an outstanding young fawn male from the Peruvian Winchester line. "Clint", otherwise known as HHF Fistful of Dollars, is a multiple color champion who has just beginning his breeding career, so Bretta's 2008 cria will be one of his first offspring. Keep an eye on Bretta's listing as we follow the growth and development of her Bueno son and await the delivery of her 2008 Clint cria...exciting times ahead! UPDATE: We are happy to announce a partnership with Encore Alpacas in Marshall, MI that will include Bretta, Marissa, and other fine Avalon Farm females. Bretta is back with us until the spring when she will return to Encore Alpacas. We will miss having her and Front Runner here with us, but know they will be in good hands!

Description

We are delighted with this young male. He is the proud son of Peruvian Bueno, the reknowned full Allianza US foundation herdsire and grandson of 5Peruvian Inca's Ransom, the full Allianza Peruvian male. Inca's Ransom is also the grandsire of Majestic's Peruvian Jeremiah, 2008 Futurity Huacaya White AND Colored Herdsire of the Year and 2009 Futurity White Huacaya Herdsire of the Year and Reserve Colored Herdsire of the Year (owned by our good friends, Faye and Jeff Farley of Majestic Meadows Alpacas...Congratulations, Faye and Jeff!) Runner's dam, CODI's Peruvian Bretta, has contributed her beautiful color and lovely phenotype to make a truly handsome male. Front Runner's potential is evident in a typey, correctly conformed structure and long, silky, bright and dense fiber. We believe that his 3/4 Allianza heritage will carry forward to his offspring the excellent fiber genetics we breed for in a lovely dense fawn fleece. Runner continues to display the excellent conformation and proud carriage that characterizes "the herdsire". Although not quite two, he is ready to begin breeding. He is co-owned with Encore Alpacas in Marshall, MI, where he will stand stud at this amazing introductory rate. This offer provides a great opportunity to add some new, outstandng genetics to your herd.
