Maple Brook Bravado

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 833417DOB: 9/4/200123 yrs
It is with great sadness that I write, Bravado pasted away towards the end of 2018. He will be forever loved and we will forever be appreciative for all he did for our herd and many others. He was an amazing alpaca in all aspects and will be greatly missed! His girls have been our foundation! He is the first Herdsire we ever purchased! This is the very same Bravado who when bred to a girl we sold from our herd "Primera Dama" they produced The "Alpaca Palace's Houdini" !!!!! No introduction needed of course. Use the herdsire that Ian Watt says "will upgrade your girls to ELITE STATUS"! Champion is in his blood. Maple Brook Bravado is a blue ribbon, color champion-winning son of the infamous Bueno, and a grandson of the legendary Hemingway. Both of these males in his pedigree have contributed immeasurably to the North American herd and Bravado is now doing his part to live up to his famous lineage. Bravado is a full Alianza herdsire and is densely covered in that fine, characteristic Alianza fleece. At his third shearing, his micron count was 18.9! A testament to how well he is maintaining his fineness with age. In 2008 his micron count is still only 21 microns. As you would expect, his fleece is extremely soft and bright and is beautifully bundled. His coverage is uniform and extensive, and his conformation is perfect. Along with his other strong traits, Bravado seems to be passing his gentle disposition on to his offspring. The cria Bravado has on the ground are quite impressive and are bound to be show-stoppers. Bravado's sire, Bueno, has won more "Get of Sires" than any male in the country, according to Mike and Robin Tierney of Maple Brook Farm. His breedings now sell for $10,000 each and are extremely limited. Hemingway is no longer available for outside breedings. Both Bueno and Hemingway have produced hundreds of award winning cria. The combination of these bloodlines creates proven genetic potency for the next generation, which is evidenced in Bravado and his progeny. Bravado is proudly co-owned with Dr. Wayne Jarvis of Sixth Day Farm in Holley, NY. He and his cria can be seen at their farm or at Morgan's Fortunato Farm. Fortunato's Sweet Sadie

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 1134339DOB: 4/29/200420 yrs
Sweet Sadie is a beautiful, beige, full Peruvian, Accoyo/Alianza mix. Her lineage has not only resulted in fine, soft fleece with great, high frequency crimp and a superb handle, but it has also led to a wonderful personality. Everyone who sees her is taken with Sadie's curious, affectionate nature. She is always very entertaining and loveable. Sadie has a micron count of 16.3. Respected judge, Mike Safley, was impressed with her long staple length and measured it more than once for confirmation. He commented on the fineness and consistency of her fleece and remarked to his apprentice, "See how that crimp goes all the way to the tip? That's what you're looking for." Sweet Sadie's sire is the great, Full Alianza, Peruvian Guellermo. Addie, Sadie's dam, has the characteristic soft fleece of her own great grandsire, the legendary Hemingway. Sadie's grandsire is Hemingway's Mr. Antonio who had an undefeated show record. Her granddam, Cecilia, is an Accoyo El Moustachio daughter. With these eminent bloodlines, beautiful fleece, great looks and charm, Sweet Sadie is bound to be a tremendous benefit to any breeding program.
