Hornblower is a full Peruvian carbon copy of his sire, the famous MacGyver. He is very dense and has an overall uniform lock structure, with lustrous medium fawn color. Hornblower has personality and presence -- backed by perfect conformation and fiber quality. He's got that handsome "MacGyver" head. Hornblower has proven himself in the show ring. At the 2004 AWE Show in Redmond, OR, he stood second in his class and was awarded Reserve Color Champion second to Pacific Crest's Cochise, who sold at auction for $112,000. His first few offspring are real pleasers -- high luster, with dense, tightly-penciled locks. We think they got their winning personalities from papa, too.

Good Fortune's Sookie

SuriOpen (Female)White
AOA# 31730129DOB: 10/12/200816 yrs
Introducing Good Fortune's Sookie. She is the grand finale female daughter of one of Good Fortune's very favorite alpacas, PPeruvian Veronica B4114. Veronica is a '91 import who originated at the famed Estancia Accoyo ranch before being sold to Rural Alianza. Thus, for those knowledgeable with the importation records, Veronica is a "Full Accoyo." We were fortunate enough to visit Don Julio Barreda in Peru and take a peek at his record books, just to make certain. Since Sookie is sired by our Full Accoyo stud, Good Fortune's Accoyo GeminiMan, she too is sporting 100 percent Accoyo genetics. Since we don't know Veronica's exact birth date we assume that she was at least 2 years of age when imported in 1991, meaning she gave birth to Sookie at about age 19 or 20. While the stud's pedigree is important, we place a lot of stock in the maternal line too, as long-lived dams that birth easily and are good milkers tend to pass those traits to their female offspring. Veronica is retired now, but Sookie is just getting started. Her first cria, Glinda the Good of ATV was born 9.10.11, sired by Pacific Crest Hornblower, a Futurity Reserve Color Champion and MacGyver son. This little darling is blinding white, with dense dense dense fleece that's oh-so fine! Sookie birthed like a veteran and stood stock-still while her cria found a more than ample milk supply. She's got everything going for her as a proven production female -- plus the mellow disposition of the famed Bruxo and Durazno(Uribe) lines. She can be bred to Accoyo Killara for an additional $750!

Description

Born on the "lucky" date of 9/10/11, "Glinda the Good" is more than just a good luck charm. She's sporting a fabulous dense, fine, lustrous suri fleece -- and a potent pedigree. Her grand-dam, PPeruvian Veronica is a 1991 import (who's still alive & well) from Peru's Rural Alianza and the famed Estancia Accoyo. When we visited Don Julio Barreda in Peru, we looked at his records and confirmed that Veronica was indeed an Accoyo suri (although, because the import records list Veronica as originating from Alianza instead of Accoyo, we do not warrant her as Full Accoyo.) Her dam is Good Fortune's Sookie (out of Full Accoyo GFF GeminiMan, making Glinda 3/4 Accoyo, sort of) and her sire is the MacGyver son, Pacific Crest Hornblower. If you need to add DENSITY and FINE FIBER to your suri breeding program, give this girl a good hard look. She's no plain vanilla suri. Glinda is packed with Dense Dense DENSE fine fiber -- and a potent pedigree. She will be ready to breed in Spring 2013 and we can't decide on Accoyo Tourbillion or Accoyo Killara
