GFF Accoyo Princess Olympia
Alpaca, Suri, Open (Female) | White
AOA #1127430 | DOB: 8/24/2004 (20 yrs)
Sire: NGG Accoyo Apache II
1127430<--ari-->Medium Fawn<--color-->We are thrilled beyond belief to welcome into our midst NGG Accoyo Apache II! Apache is virtually a legend in the suri world. Some would say he is "the Best" suri herdsire in the country. Certainly he has a sterling reputation. For parents he boasts 2 of the finest suris that were ever imported into the US, both owned by Nola Graham of NGG Alpacas: Pperuvian Uribe--the first colored full Accoyo suri in the US-- and Ppperuvian Dulcinea--a dam so fine that Nola paid a premium for her. Later, Greg Mecklam of Pacific Crest bought Apache, and has taken him to his current status of fame.
Even at age 11, Apache is big-boned and imposing in the pasture. He knows his job, and the other guys all give him his place. His fleece is still magnificent, even after so many shearings. His density and luster are immediately evident. His prepotence as a herdsire is obvious in his crias. Even prior to owning him, we can truly say that some of our best suris have been Apache offspring. His show record speaks volumes:
• 1999 PNAA Alpacafest - Supreme Suri Champion
• 1999 AAA Futurity - Fawn Color Reserve Champion Suri Male
• 2005 AAA Futurity Reserve Suri Herdsire of the Year
• 2006 International Alpaca Odyssey - 2nd Place Suri Get of Sire
• 2006 MAPACA Jubilee - 2nd Place Suri Get of Sire
• 2006 AOBA National - 2nd Place Suri Get of Sire
• 2008 International Alpaca Odyssey - 1st Place Suri Get of Sire
• 2008 Alpaca Western Extravaganza - 1st Place Suri Get of Sire
• 2008 AOBA National - 3rd Place Suri Get of Sire
Apache's breedings are now open. He puts a strong frame and big bone on his crias, as well as fabulous coverage, high luster, and that wonderful Accoyo lock structure. I haven't seen a cria of his yet that I wouldn't be proud to own, and I will bet that several of his offspring from this season will end up with purple to their names.
Take this opportunity to have this macho's bloodline in your herd. You won't be sorry!<--description-->
Dam: DDF Accoyo Princess Iris
1127430<--ari-->White<--color-->Full Peruvian - Here's a true collectible for the discerning suri breeder. DDF Accoyo Princess Iris is the daughter of the late great Accoyo Bruxo, now deceased, who was one of the truly greatest impact herdsires in North America. Iris' dam is Eluteria, otherwise known as "Beauty" -- a stunning medium fawn-colored suri import who has birthed a living legacy of crias including several Championship-winning studs.
Iris is one we never thought we'd part with -- not for any amount of money. We have one of her daughters (and soon a granddaughter) in production and three fabulous sons in our stud lineup, so we've come to the decision that now is the right time for someone else to benefit from Iris' unique genetics.
Both Iris and her daughter, Accoyo Princess Olympia have thrown light or medium fawn when bred to white Full Accoyo sires. Colored Full Accoyos are rare and highly prized. <--description-->
Description
GFF Accoyo Princess Olympia is a large, big-boned suri alpaca dripping with fine, lustrous locks. A sterling example of the power of pedigree, Full Accoyo Olympia's grandsires are none other than the late greats PPeruvian Bruxo and PPeruvian Uribe (Durazno).
Olympia's first-born cria was a MEDIUM FAWN female out of Accoyo Don Julio. Sadly, the cria was born a few weeks premature and died a few days after birth. A tragic loss, for certain.
Olympia's second cria, another female, made up for the loss... Good Fortune's Accoyo Litsa is the very best Full Accoyo suri to grace our farm to date. Sired by the legendary Full Accoyo stud Woods Edge Accoyo Baron Lafite, Litsa was awarded 1st place Light Juvenile Suri at the 2008 CABA show and also won First and Judge's Choice, Best Hand at the 2008 CABA Fleece show. Litsa is now part of the production herd at SuriPaco in Maine.
In October 2009 Olympia gave birth to a very handsome Half-Accoyo male out of our MacGyver son, Pacific Crest Hornblower. Named Chivay after the village in Peru. He's got the best of dam and sire -- and a very pleasing pedigree.
We repeated this breeding and in 2011 got another knock-out fawn colored cria -- Full Peruvian, Half Accoyo. And FEMALE! Kristin's Reece of ATV, pictured here. She's got fabulous "greasy" silken locks and blinding luster!
Olympia has the mellow vibe of her famous grandsire, Bruxo.
Olympia is ready to breed now so we will have to choose between Accoyo Zapota or Accoyo Killara
