31613279<--ari-->Medium Silver Grey<--color-->Let's Talk About Greys! We tend to give our alpacas short names or nicknames, so we have been calling him 'Mac'. Mac is a 5th generation grey with several notable herdsires in his lineage -- such as famous greys Silvano, Silversmith, and McGinnis as well cornerstone studs Augusto and Peruvian King. Along with a stacked grey lineage, his extended 'family tree' is loaded with champion greys. For instance, this boy is full brother to AofO Sterling Silver and half brother to the late AofO Silver Celebration (and therefore, "uncle" to AofO Silver's Rising-Star). All are (were) multiple champion MSG studs. If you track EPDs, these things are exceptional. Mac has a typey look, with excellent conformation on a strong & solid frame and good bite. His fiber is very uniform in color across his blanket, just like his famous relatives. He has long staple and good coverage; a consistent medium crimp amplitude and frequency from skin to tip; bright fiber with a nice shine and handle (makes a lovely, lofty yarn); and very good closeness in micron between his white and black fibers. This boy has quality conformation and fiber characteristics that we would be pleased to add to our program. Moreover, he has the genetics for the next step up in characteristics. We have hopes for this MSG male in our herd, to bring out the silver genes that lies in some of our fawns and blacks. Note: Since we don't have a comparable (color and fiber) male for any replacement if necessary, if Mac is sold before he is proven his warranty replacement will be a breeding to any of our herdsires including our multiple champion black male, Secret, and our upcoming notables like Longbow, Supermasive, or Major General. *Congratulations to Jessie and Sam of Narrow Road Alpaca Ranch and Farm for adding Mac to their grey breeding program!<--description-->
