Marco Suave - Densest Fawn Herdsire in Midwest

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 31955171DOB: 8/24/200915 yrs
Marco just took another blue at the Michigan 2014 show. Arturo Pena's comments: "Correct conformation, good balance and for a 64 month old male - very good degree of fineness" So at five and a half years old Marco is still fine, uniform, and the densest fawn huacaya in the Midwest per Ian Watt's skin biopsy results. Co-owned with Wineaux Alpacas Marco is a full Peruvian Dark Fawn HemiAccoyo. His skin follicular density is 68.9. (His Sire, Rico Suave, pictured on right, has a biopsy number of 69 also and the same S/P ratio of 11/1). This density puts him at the top of Ian Watt's testing history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ratio of secondary fibers (down) to primary fibers (hair) is 11/1 Marco's Primary Fibers average 15.8 with a standard deviation of 2.7 Marco's Secondary Fibers average 14.3 microns with a standard deviation of 2.5 Marco's Primary and Secondary fibers measure an incredibly low 5.4 microns apart. His curvature is 54.46 These stats do not come from a judge's outside view - but from a test of what's under the skin. If you want to add lingering fineness, density and ultra uniformity to your herd (and in color) this is a boy to consider. Marco is the son of the incredible Rico Suave (now deceased) whose fiber was at 17 microns at 11 years of age. This is lingering fineness and is a 'must have asset' for every herd. Marco's grandsire, Accoyo Elite, recorded an 18 micron fleece at 6 years old Marco's grand dam, Bobbie Anne, has an even more incredible story considering the toll taken by pregnancy and nursing, she recorded a 19 micron fleece at 11 years of age. This, of course, is what Marco's great grandsire, Hemingway, is famous for bringing this lingering fineness into maturity into our North American alpaca herd. Marco's dam, the medium brown Peruvian Rachelle, at age 9, posted a histogram AFD of 23, an SD of 4, a CV of 18, a curvature of 47. Rachelle is a half sister to Winchester (A Rafael son, winner of 80 championships). Marco's first cria, Bambino Suave, is on the ground. He is dark fawn, like his sire, Marco. His dam is a 5 year old LF girl with a standard deviation of 4.3 and a CV of 16.8. Her AFD is still in the mid 20s. Her sire, Snowmass Royal Destiny XX is a beige son of Snowmass MATRIX, and the grandson of the great sire Snowmass Quechua. Her dam is Emily Rose a full Peruvian of a rare Accoyo line. Olga herself is a medium fawn well proportioned female on a solid frame. She has excellent coverage with a dense fine fleece. We're not the only one's who are fans of Olga; judges like her too. She won a first at the Illinois Alpaca Show in 2013 Her first histogram had an AFD of 16.3 with a staple length of 95 mm! Olga has produced two adorable male cria for us, IPRA Tycho Suave and IPRA Galileo! Contact us today to add this proven producer to your herd.

Description

As a cria, Tycho was known to use the dog doors to escape his pen and wander the fields as he pleased. He's recently moved over to the stud barn with the older males and is adjusting to his new, more limited confines. Tycho has strong genetics and he has his dam's fineness. He would make an excellent addition to any herd. Contact us today about adding this tyke to your herd! Congratulations to Casey and Adrew! Tycho has a new home as a therapy alpaca!
