UPDATE: LIGHT SABRE HAS THROWN COLOR!!! WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DARK FAWN DAUGHTER FROM LIGHT SABRE OUT OF A BLACK DAM! WE ARE THRILLED! HE CONTINUES TO THROW COLOR WHEN BRED TO DARK FEMALES! WOW!! MFI Peruvian Light Sabre is an elite male. He has won multiple Judges' Choice Awards under some of the best judges in the industry. His conformation is flawless and his body is densely covered with elite fleece. His phenotype is outstanding. It's no wonder as his sire is the now deceased Mister Antonio, a male unbeaten in the show ring and acknowledged as one of the very best, most densely-fleeced sons of Peruvian Hemingway. His dam is Peruvian Love Bug, who has accoyo Bravado and Augusto in her pedigree. Light Sabre took the show circuit by storm winning 2 Judges Choice awards. Even more impressive is the fact that he did this all in one showing season as an adult at the age of 3. Light Sabre was lot #7 in the 2011 Magical Farms Breeder's Choice Auction. If you follow the Breeder's Choice auction you know that lot 7 is reserved for their best. We are very fortunate to be able to infuse these genetics in our herd and look forward to awesome offspring from him. If you are serious about your breeding and the future of your herd look to Light Sabre to add elite genetics. UPDATE - Light Sabre has done it again. Another purple banner at Northern Illinois at the age of 4. Judge commented he is the total package. Incredible fineness for a 4 year old male. Perfect head and extreme density. Another purple banner at 2011 Mid-America 2011 Springfield Riverside Alpacafest. Our first Light Sabre offspring is a gorgeous dark fawn female from a black dam. Her fleece shines!! Another daughter for Light Sabre. Sweetness N Light! Excellent crimp structure and density on this little gal! Brightness is his thing! He passes extreme brightness in fleece on to his offspring! If you need that quality added to your herd give Light Sabre consideration. LIGHT SABRE CRIA ARE WINNING IN THS SHOWRING - 1st for IPH Mjolnir at Grayslake 2nd for Majestic Peruvian Ransom (Majestic Meadows) at Grayslake and 1st and Reserve at Green Mountain. Proudly co-owned with Fallengrund Alpacas.

Clearview's Sonora is our original foundation female. She was born in Canada and isn't related to most American blood lines which allowed her to be bred to just about any American herdsire. She was an excellent mother having had eight easy unassisted deliveries to date. Her cria weigh around 20 pounds and they were quite robust with excellent frames. Because she produces an abundance of milk, her cria gain weight rapidly. Right now we have two of her cria in our herd: IPRA Kiss of Light, sired by the legendary MFI Light Saber, and IPRA Desert Charmer. Sonora was always very alert and watched over the whole herd. She was definitely the "alpha" female! She had a sense of serenity about her so that we often stalled her with younger mothers to keep them calm. She is greatly missed

Description

IPRA Kiss of Light (Beaker) was the first cria born on our property once the barns were built and the fences put up. Beaker got her "barn name" from the Muppet Lab Assistant character because of her long neck and top knot. She is the fall 2012 female cria of IPH’s Multiple Judges Choice winner MFI PERUVIAN LIGHT SABRE and our own Clearview's Sonora. Her paternal genetics include Hemingway, Mister Antonio, Express and Augusto. Kiss of Light has great conformation and solid bone structure. After her first shearing, her fleece returned with greater density and excellent crimp. Her first Histogram in 2013 had an AFD of 19.0 and a Spin Fineness of 18.7, which is classified as a Royal Superfine fleece. She's maintained her fineness as she's matured; the AFD on her 2016 fleece was 19.6. We hope to breed her in the Fall 2023 for a Fall 2024 cria Beaker has a very inquisitive nature, like several other alpacas on our farm, but what has made her unique is her relationship with our Great Pyrenees. When looking down on the pasture from the house, you can often see a cluster of white animals together: the dogs and Beaker. Where the dogs go, Beaker is sure to follow. She is always on the look-out and makes sure that she is the first to know when someone is heading toward her barn (especially at feeding time).
