Description

In the fall of 2007, we were under contract to purchase our first pregnant female from Falkor Ranch. Before the ink was dry, Carmen was born. Our very first cria was a little girl! She is still our little love. Although her dam was a big girl, Carmen has always been dainty and feminine. In 2010, we watched our first cria deliver her first cria, a little girl! That little girl went on to be a 7 x blue ribbon winner and a 4 x color champion. Meanwhile, Carmen's fleece continues to be excellent for her age. She scores well in fleece shows and spin-offs. Her yarn is lovely. She is a super star among our foundation females. Wow! It doesn't seem possible that Carmen is now 13 years old. Over the years, she has been a fabulous foundation dam. She has given us some wonderful crias, a few are still here and producing more wonderful offspring. Some have gone on to new homes. One year, Carmen kept us all on pins & needles. Either she had the longest gestation on record in this country or she slipped an earlier pregnancy and later rebred to an unknown male. Regardless, he is a gorgeous little boy born 9/24/17. He looks like his mom! He remains small but mighty and is now in Texas. He's a 4H star and a therapy animal for children with cancer!
