CLICK ON VIDEO ICON TO HEAR JUDGE'S ORAL REASONS FROM THREE SHOWS Hot Stuff is a 3X Reserve Color Champion: 2011 California Classic (at 1 yr, 11 months), 2011 AlpacaMania (at two years, 5 months), 2011 Gold Country Gathering (at two years, 5.5 months) Read what the judges had to say: HALTER "Beautifully fine really organized fleece carrying great fineness and density. I encourage you to take a look at this male"...Halter judge Stephanie Glyptis at California Classic 2011. "Great, great density, very consistent fleece, and no white fibers. If you have a color breeding program I definitely suggest you take a look at this male"....Halter judge Kevin O'Leary at AlpacaMania 2011 "Presence, Density, Style"....Halter judge Wade Gease at Gold Country Gathering 2011 FLEECE "Great fineness, good balance across the card, good handle, a joy to judge"...Fleece judge Ken Hibbits at Gold Country Gathering (score 80) LIVING UP TO HIS NAME: Nicknamed "Hot Stuff" from day one we knew we were giving him a lot to live up to. When it was time to register him we realized he is "Hot Stuff" and the nickname became official. GENETICS: When it comes to genetics Hot Stuff has a lot going for him. His sire Silver Rose Sentinel is a phenomenal star with a multitude of show ribbons and championships to his credit. Hot Stuff's dam, Melody's Mystique, has produced two cria for us and both are multiple champion males...Hot Stuff and our 2X grey color champion Wisp of Smoke. PHENOTYPE: Hot Stuff exudes “presence.” He has an excellent topline, upright stance and his substantial bone with solid legs supports his well-balanced frame. His fiber is everything we hoped for…true black, fine, bundled zipper style architecture, and great handle. We will consider a lease arrangement too.

Dam: Derwydd Luciano's Luluy

Grey Sire

Derwydd Luciano's Luluy

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 31191739DOB: 11/6/200717 yrs
Lulu sports an INCREDIBLE staple length from her oh so famous GREY sire El R Peruvian Luciano, a years growth was just shy of 140mm ...5.5"!! With lovely even medium crimp, her 2yr histogram was AFD 22 SD 4.0 CV 17.9!! Fibers < 30, only 2.8%... Luciano(full Alianza) has produced many champion crias for Derwydd, Lulu's dam Fista (3/4 Accoyo) has produced champions.. so Lulu certainly carries the GENETICS to produce champions!! And all those Accoyos in her background!! (Accoyo Pinachi, Accoyo Starr Kahn)... makes Lulu an Alianza-Accoyo cross - famous for fineness and winning alpacas. In 2016 at almost 8 years old Lu ranked in the top 1% in MSL. A trait she passes on to her crias. Lulu is a well grown female, plenty of body capacity for birthing crias. Level top-line, nice bite, lovely topknot, good fiber coverage, excellent bone, well set legs with appropriate angulation - an altogether pleasing alpaca to look at! Lu's 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2016 crias have been sold. In 2016 Lu presented us with a beautiful white female sired by Crescent Moon's Private Reserve II. Private Reserve was sired by 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite and represents Accoyo genetics rarely seen in the USA. Elite's micron count at 6 years of age was 18.2 microns. Her 2018 male cria is an amazing light grey sired by our amazing herdsire ChaccuLatte. We are expecting great things and awesome fiber from this boy.

Service Sire: Razzmatazz of Somerset Farm

Style, presence, fineness, great handle

Razzmatazz of Somerset Farm

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 32315202DOB: 6/6/201212 yrs
From his dense, fine and bundled fleece to his solid, compact and well balanced frame, Razz has herdsire written all over him. Add to that his deep foundation genetics (Pachacuti, Chaccu, and Vengador) on his sire's side and Accoyo Yupanqui on his dam's side and you have a complete package. This boy's fleece has amazing handle and great staple length. His first year histogram: AFD 16.8, SD 3.7, CV 21.8, %>30 0.6 CF: 99.4 Once you plunge your hands into his deep fiber, with an incredible buttery feel, you will not want to remove them. Razz's fiber brings the word "handle" to life. Looking for lingering fineness? How about these stats from his dam at 7+ years old? AFD 22.9, SD 4.2, CV 18.4, SF 21.8, %>30u 4.6 These results were instrumental in placing her in the top 1% in three fiber categories (see picture). Then there is the influence from his grand dam Chaccuna (daughter of the great Chaccu) on his sire's side.At 12 years old her histogram results are note worthy: AFD 25.8, SD 4.9, CV 18.8 , SF 24.7, %>30 15. Then there are her EPD (Expected Progeny Differences) results as a 12 year old production female: Trait Value Acc Rank AFD -0.938 0.377 3080 of 27776 In the top 11% in expectation for improving fineness* SDAFD -0.33 0.376 1817 of 27776 In the top 7% in expectation for lowering micron* %F>30 -4.5 0.387 2265 of 27776 In the top 8% in expectation for improving uniformity* MC 2.551 0.376 1955 of 27776 In the top 7% in expectations to create higher frequency of crimp* %M -1.768 0.186 3131 of 27776 In the top 11% in the expectation to reduce overall fiber medullation* *than the breed average for all huacaya females and all colors Yes, that is a fawn spot on his blanket. He also has a smaller spot on the top of his left front leg and left hind leg. He has tremendous potential to serve your breeding program as a white male carrying color. UPDATE: Razz's first cria is on the ground. A strong and solid male weighing in at 17.5 lbs. See photo. Description

What is the potential? The answer to that question is always our focus when making breeding decisions. Well, we called it right with the choice of the sire and dam for Hot Spice. We love it when a plan comes together. Hot Spice's dam, Derwydd's Luciano's Luluy is our white full Peruvian foundation female with an impressive list of Accoyo genetics (Accoyo Pinachi, Accoyo Starr Kahn)from her dam and sire making her an Alianza-Accoyo cross - famous for fineness and winning alpacas. Her true black sire, our own Hot Stuff of Somerset Farm, is a 3X Reserve Color Champion with an impressive and long list of ribbons from halter and fleece shows. Check out Lu's and Hot Stuff's pages for much more information about these two amazing contributors. Other reasons we chose this breeding. Their fiber stats: Lu at 5.5 years AFD 24.8, SD 4.8, 19.4 SF 23.8, %>30 10.3 Hot Stuff at 4 years old 4 AFD 23.9, SD 4.9, CV 20.5 %>30 7.3, SF 23.2 Then take a look at the color genetics Hot Spice is be carrying. From her dam we have medium silver grey from her multiple champion producing sire El R Peruvian Luciano. From her sire we have rose grey on the top and bottom of the pedigree and his sire is a multiple color championship. See the appaloosa picture? That is Hot Spice's 1/2 brother from her dam. He was the result of breeding Lu to a medium fawn. Oh the possibilities coming down from Lu. We are expecting Spice to follow In her dam's footsteps as a solid production female. Lu is an easy breeder, her deliveries are easy, she bonds quickly with her crias and produces an abundance of milk. Hot Spice developed quickly...weighing 54 pounds at 3 months. Her frame is solid and well-balanced and carries a fine, uniform fleece with impressive staple length coming down from her dam and grand sire. Last but absolutely not the least...Hot Spice has an amazing temperament. She will not only join the group of people when we are out in the field but is often so comfortable that she will cush. She seems to enjoy the attention and quickly becomes a favorite of the visitors...especially the children. She is extremely gentle.
