Nova's Gold has been the key to our success hands down. It's time to let someone else benefit from his unsurpassed ability to stamp true alpaca type to any female's cria. We have not listed a price because we want to make sure he goes to a good home and we will price him right for the best home for him. So call us and we'll talk. He's a 2x 1st Place GET OF SIRE with his first few crias against some awesome competition! His cria's are winning Championships! What can he do for your dams? He has proven that he not only improves fleece, adding fine fleeced density, allowing color to pass through BUT stamps them with his uniformity, typy head, muzzle, coverage, and flawless solid conformation. His black gene is strong, but his white crias from white dams are taking ribbons too. His crias are typically very hardy and friendly, a trait we LOVE! Nova's Gold is Snowmass Nova's fine, dense, full fleeced son out of a Sollacata Peruvian dam. He's a multi-Champion, elite fleeced, strong boned, well balanced, flawlessly conformed male. His maternal Granddam was Snowmass Alpaca's top Black female 6Peruvian Silent Night, with rare Sollocata bloodlines. His sire Nova has fineness and density would to put the vast majority of white animals to shame. A true elite black Herdsire. Fiber Test at age 2: 16.5, 2.9, 17.6, 0.6. Nova's Gold is very uniform in fleece, exhibiting consistency and fineness with no primary (guard hair) extension past the blanket. He carries a high frequency crimp with high secondary follicle density along with all the characteristics of elite fleece. His CURV is 43.5. People who've had the chance to put their hands on him love his extreme density along with his awesome hand, brightness, and fineness. Nova's Gold's sire won Herdsire of the Year 2005! His grandsire Casanova held that title in 2003! Lineage: Snowmass Nova, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Peruvian Bueno, Peruvian Drambuie, Snowmass Drambuie's Kahlua, and 6Peruvian Silent Night.

Snowmass Cienega Creek Christy

It's with much hesitation we add Christy to our sales list. She has been a top true black producer. Snowmass Alpacas' Julie Skinner was on the hunt for a top level black female years ago to breed to Nova. She found Christy and purchased her on the spot. (technically Snowmass isn't on her ARI but that's who we purchased her from) After she produced offspring for Julie to keep in her herd. We were able to purchase her for our herd. She has produced Futurity Blue ribbon winners and champions...all in True Black. "She passes on fineness, brightness, low scale, and silky highly crimped locklets to all of her cria. This type of fleece is so essential to black fiber", says Julie Skinner at Snowmass Alpacas. She herself has a beautiful staple length and is absolutely drop dead gorgeous even as she's aged! Her genetics are outstanding...going back to the one and only Peruvian Accoyo Pluro. Pluro has produced outstanding crias in a range of colors. His bloodline is rare because he is no longer in the US. We bred her to our premier guy Snowmass Royal Flush and got a beautiful solid True Black female who has won multiple championships! For her next breeding, we took her to...our Get of Sire champion Snowmass Nova's Gold which produced a cria similar to her her 1st place Futurity daughter Venetia and Blue ribbon winning son, Snowmass Nova's Pluro. She gave us one of our nicest crias who is winning ribbons everywhere he shows, (see Reiling's standing Novation). Christy had one of her best cria's yet by our fabulous herdsire that we co-own with Snowmass alpacas: Snowmass Matrix Madness! This true black little girl is currently on the show string of McPaca Ranch and she's a beauty. Because of her, we're breeding Christy right back to Matrix Madness and eagerly await this cria. Christy is an older girl, but in great health and condition and we're happy to have her spend the rest of her days here and we will be thrilled with each cria she gives us. However, we will offer her for sale to the right ranch.

Description

Thank you for taking a look at Novation for your breeding consideration. If you need equisitely handling crimpy, jet black fleece with density...he is the man! His fleece is simply incredible, it has a fabulous handle to go with his density. We continue to be incredibly excited about Novation. As he has matured, he hasn't lost that wonderful fineness and shows no primary extension in his blanket (guard hair). He has tremendous fleece coverage and is ready to start breeding. He can really impact your program if you are a breeder of lustrous black alpacas. If its true that the dam and the sire both contribute equally to their offspring, then this boy has a huge genetic advantage. We purchased both his sire and dam from the world renowned Snowmass Alpacas. From the moment he hit the ground, we knew that he was absolutely going to be something special. He holds the powerful, multi Get of Sire, genetics of our herdsire Snowmass Nova's Gold. With that, he gets Nova, Casanova, Bueno, Drambuie, and 6Peruian Silent Night. Add to that his award winning dam, who is a daughter of the great grey Ring Ridge Smokey and Granddaughter of Accoyo Pluro. Everything lined up properly with this boy and he has density, coverage, supreme shine, expressive and consistent crimp, great bone, and more. His fleece is very organized with a higher amplitude crimp style and wonderful bundling. He has been really fun in the ring; always getting great comments from the judges and winning lots of ribbons.
