El Nino has produced numerous champions, was Futurity Herdsire of the Year in 2005 and won 1st Place in Get of Sire at 2004 Nationals. El Nino has taken over as supreme herdsire at Pacific Crest Accoyo America following in the footsteps of his late legendary sire, Caligula. Shangri-La is already proving to be a prepotent herdsire producing multiple blue ribbon winning offspring. He is letting color pass through producing offspring darker than the dam and has even produced black! Shangri-La is a stunning male with extraordinarily dense fleece that exhibits crimp and character right down to his belly. Shangri-La's sire, Caligula needs no introduction and has literally too many awards to list. His dam, Sunipani also has numerous awards including the very prestigous Judge's Choice Award for fleece at AOBA Nationals. Shangri-La's brother, El Nino had a breed fee of $10000 before outside breedings were closed. Greg Mecklem donated an El Nino breeding at 2006 Nationals that fetched an unheard of $15000. This girl will truly surprise you! Her Dam is Accoyo Dallas - a top Accoyo Import hand picked by Dr. Jim Vickers. Nel told me when I bought Dallas that every one of Dallas' offspring have achieved Color Champion. I was thrilled to hear that -- but in the past she was bred to big named proven boys and they were white. This time -- she was bred to Peruvian Laredo, a True Black. Don't get me wrong, Laredo is one of Nel Vicker's top herd sires and is a great boy who took Color Champion at both AOBA and Futurity - but I wasn't expecting this light little girl to develop into a show girl let alone follow in her siblings paths of Championship! Twilight kept astonishing me as time went on and this fall (2006) she entered her first show.
