Reserve your breeding today. Yago is bundled, fine and bright! He is actually a "freak of nature". He is consistently bundled, extremely fine has elite - high frequency crimp and amazing coverage. He is the Grandson of BOTH ACCOYO AUGUSTO and ACCOYO ROYAL FAWN with Great Grand Sire being non other than ACCOYO EL MOUSATCHIO! He just attended his first show and in a large class of Rose Gray males - he stood at the top and took the blue! He went on to the Championship round and with 12 boys in the front line and 24 in the class -- Yago walked away with the RESERVE GRAY COLOR CHAMPION ribbon! This was under judge Tim Laven - who is a great judge and knows his grays and at the Level V MAPACA 2008 show where they had over 1700 animals in attendance. We then took Yago to Utah to the AOBA National Show. Again, he proudly commanded first place in an awesome class of grays and then walked into the Championship Class. As we were waiting to be evaluated, my competition, a friend of ours, told me not to get my hopes up. He said, "there is real competition in this class". He was right about that and Yago not only held his own - he walked away with Reserve Color Champion! This boy is just getting started and we are offering you a chance to reserve your breeding now. You will not find quality like Yago's elsewhere and when you combine that with the top Accoyo lines - this boy is priceless! Awards Received COLOR CHAMPION - Heartland Invitational 2008 COLOR CHAMPION - MIAF 2008 RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION - MAPACA 2008 - 24 in the class RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION - AOBA Nationals 2008! RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION - Empire Extravaganza 2008! - Mike Safley judged and he stated that Yago will be unstoppable and was a phenomenal Male. Mike could not say enough about the fineness, brightness, uniformity and elite fleece on Yago. He also went on and on about his coverage and incredible head! 1st Place Halter - OABA Alpacafest 2008 1st Place Halter - Empire Extravaganza 2008 1st Place Halter - AOBA Nationals 2008 1st Place Halter - MAPACA 2008 Level V with over 1700 animals in attendance! 1st Place Halter - MIAF 2008 1st Place Halter - Heartland Invitational 2008 Breeding Special -- $500 for Drive-by Service and $1,000 for on Farm Service.

Color Champ - OABA!

Camilla's AccoyAnza Athena

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 839854DOB: 10/4/200222 yrs
Athena is the daughter of Peruvian Camilla! Camilla is a Peruvian Import from the Alianza Herd. You can take a look at Camilla and read about her awards on her own page. Athena's Maternal Brother is Peruvian Zephyrus. Zephyrus has taken the blue ribbon or Champion Ribbon in every show he has entered including the National AOBA show. Athena offers these great genetics as well. Her conformation is solid, she sits squarely on her frame, she has buttery soft fiber with bundles throughout. Her crimp is consistent and uniform. Athena, like a true Goddess, not only produced 12 pounds of fleece, she did it while growing a 21 pound cria. Yes, that is right, we took 12 pounds of fleece off of this female and four days later, she delivered a 21 pound cria and that was her first cria. She can do it all. If you add the weight of her cria, the placenta and all the fiber we clipped off of her, she lost about 40 pounds in a matter of days! It is pretty amazing that this little girl could produce that amount of fleece while nurturing her little boy. She is a stellar producer in every way. Her Cria: 2005 Hercules http://www.openherd.com/alpacaPage.aspx?alpaca=12134&title=FarmPage.aspx&farm=1064 2006 Ice Storm 2007 Alabama 2008 Apollo 2009 Aletha 2010 Destino 2011 Grace 2013 Titan Athena was bred to Midnight Rider in 2006 for her 2007 cria. That was a match like no other. It produced Benchmark's Peruvian Sweet Alabama - you can see Alabama on her own page. Alabama is undefeated and is one of the most spectacular Alpacas I have ever seen. Athena blew us away again in 2010 with Destino (see our male huacaya listings). He is all that Alabama is - and then some!! We are looking forward to adding him to our Herd Sire Row when he is ready. Athena just gave birth on 9/28/11 to an AMAZING Yago daughter! Her name is Grace and she is Full sibling to Destino and really just breathtaking. It is a rare occassion that Athena has been made available. FREE BOARD: Sixty days free board is offered for all sale alpacas. BREEDING: A breeding to any Benchmark Herd Sire is included with purchase of all open females. Service Sire: BENCHMARK'S Vincent by Accoyo Babe

AOA National Champion

BENCHMARK'S Vincent by Accoyo Babe

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Rose Grey
AOA# 31037709DOB: 5/29/200717 yrs
Standing Stud at Benchmark For all Of 2020 Vinny is technically a Light Rose Gray as he has the Rose Gray down his neck, the cap on his head and brown and black fibers running all throughout his blanket. This makes Vinny another "stealth" Gray and puts him in the line-up with - The Peruvian Tin Man - Benchmark's Prefontaine and Benchmark's Coyo Iron Man. To cover Gray and have the fineness, bundles and elite fleece is a rare find and just what Vinny offers. Vinny's Dam is none other than the MAPACA Gray Color Champion - Vindaloo! Her rich Rose Gray color and super fine fleece has complimented Accoyo The Babe well and helped to produce a high quality Herd Sire in Vinny. Vinny has been shown in Indefinite Light - meaning he is a light animal with dark fibers running through - when he was a Juvi. Then at one show as a Yearling, he color checked as a Beige. Although I knew that wasn't the class he belonged in, but with his amazing fleece, I knew he could hold his own - and that he did. The judge could not say enough about him and actually complimented him more than any of his competition. She loved his balanced frame, large bone, coverage, typey head, high frequency crimp and tiny bundles. She explained to all that the reason he was standing in 5th (out of 15 animals at a level V show) was due to the dark fibers running throughout his fleece. Vinny has improved with age, so at just 1 week shy of 3 years old, we entered him into the National AOBA show 2010. He placed First in his class and then went on to beat out the much younger competition with his fineness and consistency. He walked out of the ring with the Color Champion Banner. Uniformity, Consistency, Fineness... It is difficult to find such low SD and CV numbers. 2008: AFD 19.0; SD 3.1; CV 16.3; >30 1.0 - Spinning fineness 17.26 2009: AFD 19.8; SD 3.3; CV 16.5; >30 0.5 2010: AFD 21.7; SD 3.5; CV 16.0; >30 1.3 2013: AFD 23.0; SD 3.9; CV 17.1; Comfort Factor 96.5%; Spin Fineness 21.7!! All of this at 6 years of age!! Benchmark Alpacas is proud to announce the partnership of Vinny with Jennifer Schalk and Chris Alward of Diversified Alpacas LLC. Breeding Special -- $500 for Drive-by Service and $1,000 for on Farm Service.

Description

Grace is Amazing and a full sister to Benchmark's Coyo Destino and Titan. Both Destino and Titan are Modern Dark Rose Gray with Zero White! That tells us a lot about what Grace brings to the table and breeding program. I would use Grace as a stealth Gray in my program. We have repeated this breeding 3 times as the results are exceptional. All three cria are carbon copies of each other, except for the color. Grace has the big fully covered tree trunk legs, square muzzle, typey head and amazing fleece. We have bred her to Vinny, our Rose Gray National Color Champion, and can't be more excited about the pairing. Availability is subject to change. We are working on reducing our herd and is the only reason we are offering Grace at this time. If other stock sells prior to Grace, she will be removed from the list and kept in our foundation stock. If you are not familiar with Grace's Dam and Maternal Grand dam, please take the time to read up on both. Grace is not just another Alpaca. Her Grand dam is Camilla - the Dam of Peruvian Zephyrus and Dam of Champions. Athena is a Champion herself and has gone on to produce only high end offspring. Grace would be an amazing cornerstone of any breeding program.
