Double D Miss Sierra
Alpaca, Suri, Open (Female) | Light Fawn
AOA #32118407 | DOB: 7/5/2012 (12 yrs)
Sire: Helios
32118407<--ari-->Medium Fawn<--color-->IN MEMORY OF A GREAT NORTH AMERICAN HERDSIRE:
It saddens us to to announce the passing of Helios.
In every breeder's journey there are milestones that mark each step forward. The addition of Helios to our farm was one of those monumental steps. In a joint partnership with Jerry & Deby French of Eagle Valley Alpacas, and Wayne and Susie Kunzman of Green Valley Alpacas we were thrilled at the arrival of Helios to our stud barn. and he lived up to his name, producing several awesome cria for us.
This Futurity Champion, fawn Peruvian son of Bruxo, was the "king of locks" for fawn suris. He had been one of the cornerstone herdsires for the Pacific Crest suri breeding program, and closely held with fewer than 30 of his 63 offspring born off the Accoyo America farm in his nine year breeding history. When he was offered at the 2010 Parade of Champions Auction we knew we had to add his proven genetics to our breeding program.
He is best known for his Championship Fawn offspring including:
Accoyo America Cochise (six 1st places, 4 Championships),
Pacific Crest Sonnetina (two 1st places),
Accoyo America Encantada (three 1st places),
Accoyo America Sonneteer (three 1st places),
Accoyo America Helix (1st & Champion at AOBA National),
Pacific Crest Honeysuckle (three 1st places, one Reserve & one Championship),
Accoyo America Arwen (1st & Reserve Color Champion).
He has also produced Bay Black & Silver Grey so we will definitely let him prove himself on our females with deep color pedigrees.
With an admirable show record, impressive yearling histogram yet to be matched in the Pacific Crest program, proven progeny record, lustrous locking to the skin fleece still at 15 years old, Helios was definitely one of the "GREATS".
Although Helios is not longer with us, his legacy lives on in the wonderful offspring that he produced for us. We will expect our first cria from his daugters in 2014. Stay tuned......<--description-->
Dam: California Girl
32118407<--ari-->Medium Brown<--color-->Wow! She is perfection! California Girl has it all....Fleece, density, luster, lock, perfect conformation, gorgeous head with "teddy bear" ears. She is the daughter of MacGyver's Mojo, the most beautiful black suri male I have ever seen. He is now deceased so we feel very lucky to have her. She also carries the genetics of PPeruvian Miquel, the sire of Carra Mia, who has the number one ARI, EPD scores in the data base. No wonder she holds her beautiful fleece characteristics year after year.
California Girl has given us three stunning cria in a row. Her latest cria is a light fawn female sired by Grand Marnier who is now deceased. She has been bred to Supersuri's Turbo, a wonderful dark brown male of MacLuster. Turbo is known for producing extremely fine fiber and we will expect a lovely cria for summer 2015.
If I could only keep one alpaca in my herd it would be California Girl. <--description-->
Description
Opportunity to purchase the very best! Genetics from the 2 P Peruvian imports on both sides of her pedigree. Bruxo, Uribe, Augustina, Pancha and Miquel. This line holds their fiber characteristics year after year.
Miss Sierra has such a sweet demeanor, and defies the reputation that alpacas "do not like cuddling". She actually seems to enjoy my kissing and hugging, which I cannot help doing since she is so sweet.
Miss Sierra is out of our very best female, California Girl. California Girl did it again! She had given us yet another lovely girl with just her exact beautiful suri head. California Girl is our favorite suri and she is everything we are breeding for. She comes back year after year with lovely, high luster, individually locking, fine micron fleece. Her cria last year is one of our very best ever and we expect Miss Sierra to be just as good. Miss Sierra is a Helios Helios is now deceased so here is your opportunity to purchase his genetics. There will be no more offspring from this legendary male.
Miss Sierra IS A Reserve Color Championship awarded by Amanda Vandenbosch. Her EPD stats are exceptional:
AFD -1.835.........122 of 8217
SDAFD..-0.418......626 of 8217
SF....-1.904..........99 of 8217 TOP 1%

%M..-3.8............388 of 8217
MSL..-0.226.......4671 of 8217

In our S.H.I.P. classification Miss Sierra scored above at 4.10 and I believe would have been higher but she was having an off day for walking straight. "stage fright". ;-) Everything else was 4.0 or better. She scored a perfect "5" for fineness.
Miss Sierra gave birth to a gorgeous male, fawn, sired by Armani's Royal Flush. She is an excellent mother.
Congratulations to Josh and Desi DeKruef of Deadman's Creek Alpacas on purchasing Miss Sierra and your first cria.
