Our Peruvian Black Jag

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 30340879DOB: 8/20/200519 yrs
True black from two true black parents, Jag carries color genetics deep with black and grey. In addition to the rich black color, his fiber has wonderful hand and architecture...a fabulous combination! We purchased Jag to be the perfect complement to daughters coming from our three champion colored herdsires, Snowmass King Crimson, Lace's Peruvian Black Lance, and Avalon's Peruvian Granger. We've already seen the outstanding daughters coming from Crimson and Lance, so we knew we had to find a male worthy of them. We believe Jag is the answer. Unfortunately, Jag was not shown as a juvenile. Tucked away in a back pasture of a large farm, Jag went unnoticed. Well, that has changed! Since we purchased Jag, we have been eager to get him into the showring. He "came home" in early March 2007 and, as a yearling, had his first experience with a halter and lead. Only days later he was in his first show. Jag gained confidence and it has shown in the ring. He glides and prances as he enters the ring, capturing the judges' attention. NOTE! Jag came into his own at the Great Midwest Alpaca Festival where he was chosen as the 1st Place True Black Yearling Male. Judge Jude Anderson then selected him as the Black Color Champion, noting that his fleece was the "finest with good crimp, and lock, even from skin to tip, well covered, conformationally sound with great style"! If you are looking to find a top quality, true black male to breed to your girls, this is definitely a male you'll want to check out. Visit us and see for yourself. Ask about Avalon Farm's Special Program of DISCOUNTED "CUSTOMER" AND "PRIORITY" STUD FEES!. Our breeding contract includes: 60 DAYS FREE BOARD for dam and the cria by her side AND a 30 DAY LIVE CRIA GUARANTEE. "Drive-By" and Mobile breedings may be arranged. Call us

AOA# 30950931DOB: 5/31/200915 yrs
Miss Cappuccino sells with a breeding to any Blue Ridge sire. Miss Cappuccino, known to us as GG, is a beauty packed with color and genetics to do great things. Her sire, Aplaca Oasis Sheik, a reserve and multi-blue ribbon winner is out of Sunset Hills Andean Gold. Andean Gold won the AFCNA "Spirit of the Fiber Industry" award chosen overall fleeces at AOBA in 2006. He has numerous other awards and a prodegy worthy of the utmost respect. Also on her sire's side is Victor's Vaccoyo, Santana, Tell Victoria's Secret and Victor. All known and respected for the infinitely positive impact they have had in the U.S. fleece and alpaca industry. They have contributed to national and international champions too numerous to name them all. GG's dam, Camille (Hemi-Accoyo) is herself a ribbon winner. Camille is out of one of Canterbury Farms best production females, Cramella. Carmella is well known for producing one "show stopping" champion after another. Her background includes Hemingway, Blue Chip, and Amber Dawn. GG's conformation and bite are flawless. She has large straight bone structure. Her fleece has a consistent well defined zipper crimp with a fine, soft hand. She is dense with coverage from her nose to her toes. GG delivered a bay black or true black male cria out of Peruvian Black Jag, a dark brown out of Our Peruvian Midnight Man, and a DRG out of Kodiak. This female sold at four months of age. GG consistently throws her density, lock structure, and consistent architecture. She is an attentive mother who sees to her cria's needs and safety.

Description

Peruvian Oakley is looking to be the TB herd sire we were hoping might come from Peruvian Black Jag and Miss Cappuccino. This guy has wonderfully large bone structure. He is straight and strong. Oakley is so dense we have had to shear him twice with the summer heat. He has fleece with bundling, consistent crimp, and fineness. This guy has 'bear ears." I absolutely cannot wait to see how he develops! We need to mention his lineage which combines Silvio, My Peruvian Black Knight, Matador, MFI Black Mesquite, My Peruvian Black Beauty, Santana, Andean Gold, Tell Vaccoyo's Secret, Amber Dawn, Victor's Vaccoyo, Accoyo Debrah, Victor, Blue Chip, and Hemingway.
