BIG NEWS!! Chieftain returned to the PAOBA Breedes Showcase with four offspring that took blue ribbons and TWO Championship banners! In 2009 Chieftain was the Color Champion at the PAOBA Breeders Showcase...and Judge's Choice! With a Color Champion in brown...the oldest one in the championship class...and a Reserve Champion in fawn...the youngest, Chieftain demonstrated he has color, fineness, and density covered. Did we mention he was also the Get of Sire winner...go Chieftain! Another Blue. Chieftain has a strong, square frame with soft, bright fiber everywhere. Want crimp? He has it from his top knot literally down to his knees! His dam is our finest fibered colored female and his sire is the legend-in-the-making Six time Color Champion Peruvian Lancaster. What a great match-up this was for color and fiber! Chieftain's numbers from his 2007 histogram are MOST impressive, and even more impressive is his ability to maintain those wonderful fiber stats. Chieftain has earned Blue ribbons and Banners as a juvenile, yearling, and mature male. With seventeen Blues he has been judged by just about everyone and all agree...this is one awesome male. Chieftain has proven his ability to maintain his outstanding fleece characteristics even as a breeding male. During the Spring 2009 show season, he added two Color Championships (PAOBA and MAPACA), one Reserve Color Championship (Nationals), and the Judge's Choice Award at PAOBA. Judge Mike Safley compared him to a juvenile for the Championship at MAPACA and declared him the finest in the class. What a great compliment for a three year old! This is a herdsire you will want to breed to both your dark and light colors for fineness, density, and crimp. Judges put him at the front of the line for his combination of fineness and density. Isn't that what it's all about? ADD ANOTHER BLUE IN 2011: Chieftain placed first once again at MAPACA...this time in the fleece show. No wonder. His fourth histogram was almost identical to his first histogram! That makes 18 Blues in halter and fleece classes. INTEREST FOR SALE Here is a rare opportunity to add a marquee male to your herd. We would love to give Chieftain the chance to broaden his exposure to other parts of the country. He has been a valuable asset to our breeding program and our farm income, and feel his show career and quality of offspring now warrant another farm to help promote him with marketing and offspring. A male of this caliber typically commands a much higher sales price, but with our decision to retire from the breeding and sales part of our business, Chieftain needs a new home to continue his legacy of outstanding production. If he meets your breeding needs, this could be the male that increases your farm exposure, creates income from breeding fees, or alleviates your own breeding costs.

Dam: HL Princess Em

with TB female cria

HL Princess Em

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 31996556DOB: 11/25/200915 yrs
Princess Em may be white, but her genetic background is loaded with color. Her dam is a TB female with white on her face and lower legs. Her breeding to our gray Color Champion, Casanova's Peruvian Crown Prince produced Princess Em, a blue eyed white. Not what the owner was expecting, but with the advise of an alpaca genetic specialist, we chose to breed Princess Em to Lancaster's Highland Chieftain. This breeding confirmed our opinion that Princess Em, when bred to a solid colored male, would produce something remarkable. That would be Princess Em's true black female cria, Summer Whirlwind. Whirlwind combines the best of her sire and grandsire with bright, dense fleece showing architecture from skin to tips. She is conformationally strong with good bone density, correct bite, and proportional. This was a great match up, so we did it again! Princess Em is bred back to Chieftain, Judge's Choice and Multiple banner winner, so you can expect a beautifully fibered cria regardless of the color. This is a 3-in-1 package priced for a great start with genetics and fiber. UPDATE: Princess Em did it again! Another true black female cria out of Chieftain. This little girl is full of herself and has "the look" to catch your eye and the fiber to make you say, "do it again"! Princess Em is one of our best moms (plenty of milk and loads of attention for her cria), and easy to handle. Her purchase price includes her 2013 female cria. If you have a solid colored fawn or brown herdsire, Princess Em has shown she can produce solid colored very nice cria. If you want us to breed her again to Chieftain or Accoyo Principe, just add $1000 to her purchase price. That's a great deal on two females and a breeding. Contact us to make arrangements or to see Princess Em and her offspring.

Description

Summer Whirlwind is a black beauty that combines the genetics of our gray male Crown Prince and he sire, Lancaster's Highland Chieftain. Her fleece is dense, soft, shiny and crimpy...all the things you look for in a black female. Her dam was bred back to Chieftain and produced yet another TB female (see Princess Em), so Summer Whirlwind is priced to sell. Here's a good start to a black breeding program. Whirlwind's owner is beginning to disperse his black and gray herd in anticipation of a job relocation. Package this female with any of his other gray or black females for substantial savings and get started with a herd representing will known genetics and banner winning herdsires.
