Enzo is the "sleeper" in our amazing herdsire lineup. With Color Champions and Champion-producing males as part of our breeding program, it's hard for a guy who only has one Blue ribbon to his credit...even though it is a Blue at the National Conference against the best light color males from top breeding programs. When we saw his fiber at Nationals and then checked out his impressive genetics, we made the deal even before he entered the ring. To our delight, he won his class and was a serious contender for the Reserve Color banner. The Timberland program has been built around several outstanding males and females. Enzo combines the Sara line with Accoyo Victor (Sonora's Accoyo Ferrari), and Mariposa and Victor on the dam's side. This double dose of Victor has certainly produced the fineness, density, and bold crimp that allow Enzo to hold his own in our breeding lineup. With his first cria winning a banner and then a second at the 2010 Nationals, we feel like Enzo might finally be earning the respect he deserves. We were knocked off our feet when he delivered a rose gray female out of one of our black dams...with amazing fiber! Two other Enzo females were born on the farm last year, so his "dance card" began to fill up. This year he did it again...a bay black out of a dark fawn dam (no black in her background), and a modern rose gray out of a modern rose gray dam! That's the goal of owners who breed for color...add more fineness from a fawn and keep that beautiful rich color. The quality of his offspring definitely increases his breeding options in our eyes. Enzo is the perfect addition to a breeding program for the breeder looking for a male with nationally recognized Accoyo genetics, and the ability to provide the density, staple length, fineness and consistency in fiber a herdsire needs to provide. It appears that Enzo's added bonus is his ability to produce beautiful color with his fabulous fiber qualities. When bred to white, he produces white, but add a bit of color and you will get....well, anything from black to gray...consistently. Enzo's price is an indication of our retirement sale prices and not a reflection of the quality of offspring he is producting. He may be one of our most consistent color producers when bred to dark colored females! Contact us for details and more information on Enzo.

Champion half Accoyo Gray!

Marathon's Thor

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Silver Grey
AOA# 32104165DOB: 5/7/201113 yrs
We feel like we really hit the jackpot with this young male! Our search for another gray male to add to our breeding program was very specific...show career, new genetics, great fiber, and young enough to still show. Our gray program has been centered around Casanova's Peruvian Crown Prince, with our two fawn Accoyos surprising us now and then with grays. With Crown Prince females ready to be bred and some of our other girls related to him through his dam (grand dam of our herd, Peruvian Boadicea), it was time to complement his genetics with something very new to the area. Enter Marathon's Thor. Starting his show career in the Midwest, Thor racked up three blues and one Color Championship in his first three shows. When we saw his fleece, we knew why. Long staple length, zipper crimp from skin to tip, incredible density and beautiful hand and brightness...it was just what we were looking for! His sire is the 8 time Champion Accoyo America Marathon. Marathon is out of Greg Mecklem's program and is packed with all the genetics that have earned him his reputation of producing outstanding alpacas. How could we pass up a guy who brings the Accoyo lines of Camilio, Caligula, and Auzengate? Also important to his genetic background is what he doesn't have. CP Silvio and 4P Midnight Express (Great Grandsires!) are the only "East Coast" gray/black genetics in his background. Here is a guy who is an excellent choice for many of the gray females and gray breeding programs looking for a bit of diversity. Thor's superior staple length, advanced crimp structure, and good body capacity are just what the industry is looking for in a breeding male. Thor's first cria have arrived...two classic silver grays, one modern gray and one brown. All of them show great conformation, soft handle, and density. With his excellent architecture and staple length, we are looking forward to seeing how these cria develop. Full interest in Thor is now for sale with our decision to retire from the breeding and sales aspect of our business. Here is a great male to bring different genetics to a gray breeding program. Contact us for details and more information on his sale.

Description

Here is a girl that would never be on our sales list unless we were VERY serious about reducing our herd size. Out of a black show girl and Ferrari's Accoyo Enzo, she represents the first step in the process of producing fine gray fleece for a breeding program. Enzo is a magnificent producer of color and beautiful fiber, and with Arran is bred to Marathon's Thor, our newest silver gray half Accoyo herdsire. We will believe this will be a perfect match for a silver gray cria. Male of female...and yes, any color...this cria should have unbelievable bone, fiber, and conformation. In an effort to facilitate our retirement sale, we are offering truly remarkable prices for packages of 2+ females, and have interest in our breeding males or herdsire quality younger males to include in a package. Our primary goal is to send our alpacas off to reputable breeders to insure their continued production success and health. If you have a need for upper end females, we have the females, the price, and the terms that will make your next one of quality and financial feasibility. Please inquire about package pricing for any of our sale alpacas.
