French Champlain joined the Whispering Willows Alpacas herd in 2010, and has been a great addition to our herdsire row. This is a beautiful male. His fleece is dense, crimpy, and baby soft with long staple length for a middle-aged male! Look at his fiber data at eight years of age! Incredible!! His fleece just shines in the sun and is the most gorgeous fawn color. He has excellent conformation and coverage down to his toes! He has proven himself a great breeder. Champlain has a fantastic pedigree with rare bloodlines, including the 1994 Alianza import Peruvian Andrajo, and the 1998 Accoyo import 6Peruvian Accoyo the Last Don. His brother is the well known Mr. Roosevelt of Crescent Moon Ranch. Champlain is a very easy going male and is not at all aggressive. He makes a perfect great uncle for young weanling males, as he is gentle with all the other animals. We have decided to sell Champlain and his good friend Anders Celcius together as a pair of pet/companion alpacas. These two boys have been friends since Anders was weaned from his mother; they have essentially been together since (except during a short winter stretch of inclement weather!). We want these boys to stay together, and since they are no longer part of our breeding program due to several up and coming young males in our herd, we are making them available as companion or fiber animals to a family looking for 4H animals or pets. Neither boy has been gelded at this point but could be for 4H purposes. Both have good personalities--Champlain is very good on the halter; Anders still needs some practice! Please contact us to inquire about this pair of boys.

Moonie just had a gorgeous little pattern boy born 9/30/09 and she is rebred to French Champlain hoping for another pattern from her. She has only ever thrown one pattern a little male named Rainbow Mountains Moon Traxx who was sold to Peaceful Pastures where he is listed on openherd. Moonstruck is a strikingly beautiful Demetrio daughter. There is so much to say about his girl. She has black nails, black & pink skin that is spotted all over her body and only visible when she is shorn and wet. Her vicuna pattern is incredibly beautiful. Description

Crimpy, bundling, beautiful top knot, I believe this is the nicest cria that her mother has produced to date which is to say something because every one of them have been absolutely stunning. Two of her girls are in our herd and breeding. She is related but only to our females. She is going to be a great foundation female. Comes with a free breeding when ready and of course free board until she is weaned. Found in the field about 1:30 today, a few weeks early. She was up and running. Only 13.5lbs of dynamite. She is awesome. This girl has WOW fleece. Crimpy and bundled bright white fleece. This girl is definately going places. Now is the time to buy her and mom.
