Troubadour is still standing stud at our farm. He sheared 9.9 lbs this year at almost 13 years ld. HE is still one of my best studs! We first showed Troubadour in 2013 at the age of 5. We were so happy that the judges could see what an outstanding male he was. He is still holding that beautiful architecture. he is maintaining that beautiful high frequency crimp with the density and fineness for his age at 24 micron. In 2016, I did histograms on all of his cria's that were her. They were from 13.9 to 18.1. Troubadour is throwing that low micron. He also is giving his cria excellent fleece coverage and That Head! Troubadour has a pleasant laid back personality which his cria's seem to have also. I cannot say enough about using this male in your breeding program.

UPDATE: 2013 MALE CRIA AT SIDE CHARLIE BROWN IS A FRIENDLY AWESOME CRIA WHO IS GOING PLACES BUY TYRA FOR THIS PRICE AND SHE IS BRED TO 2013 MAPACA BLUE RIBBON WINNER TROUBADOUR Tyra is the product of the Maple Brook Farm breeding program. She is 1/2 Accoyo, a daughter of Accoyo Felix, now deceased, and Lupita, a Peruvian import owned by Maple Brook Farm. Tyra was purchased pregnant, so we haven't shown her, although she has a long list of show winning brothers and sisters born to the Maple Brook family and has produced her own crop of show stoppers. Tyra has delivered six awesome crias. Her crias were delivered completely on her own in the pasture at roughly high noon. New breeders can feel more comfortable knowing that their investment in Tyra has a proven track record of producing live, healthy offspring without any human intervention. Experienced breeders recognize the value of this trait. Tyra's first cria, "Heidi's Little Princess", a beautiful female sired by Andre (Bueno's award-winning son), was sold to Snowmass Alpacas as a cria and recently offered in their 2010 auction. All male offspring of Tyra have been herdsire quality and are working at some lucky farms - possibly a farm near you. We'd hate to lose the "Accoyo Felix" genetics, but we also love to help others to acquire some of the BEST no longer available genetics out there. Still waiting on the cria. Lovely male cria at side.
