Marcus is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo, proven herdsire and a Ramilo grandson through his sire, HHSF Peruvian Montoyo. Montoyo was the cornerstone of the Cloudypass program, and his sire, the late Ramilo, has an incredible number of get of sire awards for Humming HIll Suris, Ben and Lynda Fisco. A Montoyo daughter was the high seller for $94,000 at the 2006 Alpaca Jack's Suri auction. Marcus is a large framed male, weighing about 200 pounds, with solid bone and correct conformation. His ropey, dense, lustrous locks have carried him to the top of his classes in the show ring. Senior Judge Julio Sumar called Marcus a "champion of champions". Evana is a full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo light fawn female with dense, lustrous, locked, fine fleece. Her cria micron count was an amazing 17.3. Her spun fleece has earned two 2nd place finishes in spin off competitions at 2007 Suri Symposium and 2008 GWAS. Her half brother took 1st place at both of these competitions and Judge's Choice at GWAS, but we think Evana's fleece has an even silker feel than her brother's and has beautiful luster to it. Although her fleece was a bit too lofty for the show ring, we sell it raw at $10.00/2 ounces. When the handspinners put their hands on her silky raw fleece in the bag, they forget whatever else they were contemplating buying. One spinner said her fleece was "better than sex". Evana is a big girl, taking after both parents, with good bone and lots of room to grow her crias in utero. Evana's sire is SMA Bolivar, a white male out of the darkest full Accoyo sire in the US, the late medium fawn PPeruvian Uribe. Her dam, Eternal of Peru, is by 4Peruvian Meteor, sire of Cantano, the highest selling suri at auction. Evana is not the prettiest alpaca on our ranch, but she has producted 2 extremely pretty female crias for us so far out of 2 different sires, and both are very lustrous. With her dam out of the Meteor line and sire of the Uribe line, this girl should continue produce colored crias with partial Accoyo genetics as she has for us.

Description

This is my kind of suri - good, strong bone, solid frame, locked, lustrous fleece, very soft hand and fine. He has fiber clear down in between his toes, and his legs are like tree trunks. We have his full sister and retained her as part of our smaller foundation suri herd after placing the others in to new homes. Maverick is well proportioned with excellent fleece coverage to his toes. His fleece is lustrous, has a soft hand with good independence of lock structure and a good degree of density. His sire is Marcus by Montoyo, a Ramilo son. Maverick's dam is Evana, whose sire is SMA Bolivar, a white male out of one of the darkest full Accoyo sire in the US, the late medium fawn PPeruvian Uribe. Her dam, Eternal of Peru, is by 4Peruvian Meteor, sire of Cantano, the highest selling suri at auction. So, there are some very good genetics in play in Maverick's pedigree. Maverick's dam, Evana, had fine fleece at 17.3 micron as a juvenile which we bagged up raw in 2 ounce bags and sold it for $10/bag without any trouble. One spinner lady stuck her hand in the bag and said, "This is better than sex". Both sister Miracle and Maverick have this same, rich honey colored medium fawn fleece with the same hand as Evana. Maverick is slightly darker fawn color than Miracle. Sire and dam are both very gentle, yet large suris but extremely easy to handle. Gentle giants. If you are looking to add bone and substance to your suri program, along with density, luster and good lock structure, this could be your guy. I just love this male. We only showed Maverick once since we are concentrating on our huacaya program, but he took a very competitive 2nd place out of 6 at the level V GWAS show in 2012.
