Multiple Champion

Crescent Moon's Velocity

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 1223354DOB: 6/24/200519 yrs
Velocity's offspring are taking the show string by storm and winning in the top of their classes with championships and several blue ribbons. At the 2009 AOBA National Show we showed his first offspring who went on to win a Reserve Championship in their very first show at just 8 months of age! His offspring are very impressive! They have correct conformation, presence, crimp, density and coverage not to mention long staple length and and abundance of fiber. We have looked very hard to find the next generation true black herdsire. We wanted a male that could compare to our multiple champion and champion producing true black herdsire, Dark Shaddow. Velocity's show credentials alone as a juvenile are very impressive! He is by far one of the best true black males we have come across outside of our own breeding program. Velocity has it all! He has excellent conformation. His fleece is very dense, very fine, bright and has a high frequency style crimp which is very uniform throughtout the blanket along with having a long staple length. Many breeders have watched us grow our black breeding program to becoming one of the best in the US. We believe that our choice of breeding decisions has lent us to the success we have. When considering how many true black males there are available for stud service that are of high quality producing high quality offspring, there really aren't too many. A male may have several championships of his own but not capable of producing his own quality or better. The proof of any herdsire is in the quality of offspring he produces and again we can say we are very impressed with what Velocity is doing for us so far and we believe you will too. Come and visit us at our farm or at shows and see the proof in this multiple champion's progeny.

K-Ran Karley

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 30931107DOB: 9/14/200618 yrs
Karley could best be called auntie because she is the one who watches over the cria. She tends her own young very well with plenty of milk. We have had nothing but black cria from Karley but we are moving on to the next baseline as we develop. Her tendency aside from producing blue-black well conformed cria is improving staple length. We would consider breeding her to any of our unrelated males - Wasake, Hanblecheyapi or Iglaspa come to mind. SOLD!

Description

What immediately stands out about Osiceca is a rich black fleece with a great hand. Upon opening his fleece we find a nice crimp structure with 6 crimp per inch in a medium amplitude, high magnitude character this laid over 4.75 inches of length. Osiceca's mom was recently sold due to her strong black and while looking over our alpacas immediately pointed to Osiceca due to his rich black fiber. The cria tips are gone!
