Congratulations to Tartan Acres for their purchase of 1/2 interest in IF Santiago! When you see 12-time Champion Santiago, the first thing you notice is his beautiful head with short muzzle, correct ear set and shape. The eye is then drawn to his balanced frame supported by a set of legs even a runway model would appreciate. His motion and gate is fluid (in fact, we imagine him carrying a container of water on his head and not spilling a drop as he moves about). And, as to his fleece ... • Glowing brightness (like his dad's). • Super soft handle. • Superb coverage with a dense top knot and heavy fleece to the ground. • Remarkable consistency in terms of fineness, crimp frequency and amplitude, staple organization, and (perhaps most important for a black) color. His pedigree includes the genetic powerhouses: A.L. Paca's Revolution, Peruvian Bueno (Alianza) and Accoyo's King, Royal Fawn and Caligula. IF Santiago's offspring are already securing 1st Place and Championship placements in the show ring! Co-owned with Tartan Acres in New York where is is standing currently.

Congratulations to Gray Alpaca Company for the recent purchase of Ka-La! Ka-La was the high-selling alpaca at the 2010 Breeders Edge Auction and has a nice 1 year show record. She has had 3 cria with ease and is an excellent mom and mild producer. She most recently had a beautiful grey male out of Santiago Feb 2014; we liked him so much we rebred Ka-La to Santiago. IF Santiago is the winner of 12 Championships and 14 Blue Ribbons in AOBA certified shows so far: [RC] 1st Place & Black Male Reserve Color Champion, 2012 MAPACA (Level V, Jill MacLeod). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2012 Carolina Alpaca Celebration CABO (Level IV, Jill MacLeod). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 Virginia Alpaca Expo VAOBA (Level IV, Sharon Loner). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular (Level III, Amanda VandenBosch). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 Big E (Stephanie Glyptis). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 AOBA National Show (Level V, Mike Safley). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 Northeast Alpaca Expo (Level IV, A. VandenBosch). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 MAPACA (Level V, Jill MacLeod). [CC] 1st Place & Black Color Champion Fleece, 2011 MAPACA (Ursula Munro). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2011 Carolina Alpaca Celebration (Level IV, 32 black males, Wade Gease). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Reserve Color Champion, 2010 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza (Level IV, 39 black males, Amanda VandenBosch). [CC] 1st Place & Black Male Color Champion, 2010 The Big E (Level III, 21 males, Helen Humphreys). Comments: Correct frame, well organized, dreamy soft, extremely dense, and bright. 2nd Place/8, "Full Fleece Bay Black Juv Male", 2010 AOBA National Conference (Level V, Wade Gease) 1st Place/6, "Full Fleece Bay Black Juv Male", 2010 Northeast Alpaca Expo (Level IV, Peter Kennedy). Comments: Best combination of traits - conformation and fleece. Good character to fleece / has fineness & density throughout the blanket. 1st Place/9, Class 115-3: "Bay Black Juv Male", 2010 MAPACA (Level V, Diana Timmerman). Extremely competitive class with the 2010 North American Black Male Reserve Color Champion also in 115-3. Comments: Complete package. Good growth. Sound top-line. Good consistency and architecture. Good brightness and fineness. Uniform fleece. 3rd Place/10, "Full Fleece Bay Black Juv Male", North American Alpaca Show (Level V, Amanda VandenBosch). Santiago's first show as a juvenile.

Description

Cab is a very handsome silver grey male out of 12-time Champion IF Santiago and the 2010 high-selling female, Ka-La, at the Breeder's Edge Auction who herself is a Reserve Color Champion. His skin biopsy done by Norm Evans showed 82 follices/sqmm. He has excellent bone structure and has a commanding presence. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this nice grey male!
