Description

Kami was the first alpaca we purchased. We fell in love with her tasseled teddy bear ears. Kami has proven herself both a great mother and a hearty alpaca. While in the first trimester of her first pregnancy, she fell gravely ill. Luckily, we were able to save her and miraculously, she managed to save the pregnancy. She delivered a full term boy, our Rocky Balboa, who was severely underweight likely due to Kami's illness. Despite not being able to reach the milk bar and being handled by humans, Kami was a patient and steadfast mom, allowing us to assist in nursing the cria for several days. Kami has made a full recovery and produced a very nice female cria (Demi Dammrose) in the summer of 2016. Kami and her naturally variegated fawn fleece would make a lovely addition to a fiber herd.
