BREAKING NEWS!! Kiernan just brought home his THIRD Get of Sire Blue Ribbon at the 2013 California Classic. His third Get of Sire in as many shows and his second two years running at the CA Classic. Kiernan offspring brought home the Produce of Dam and the Breeders Best Three at the same show. Oh... Then there was OVA Peruvian Crisdean the Explorer, a Kiernan son who won his Class, Color Group and the coveted Best of Color Groups banners. Just Awesome!! Kiernan has proven to be everything that we had hoped for in a breeding male. With over nearly thirty registered cria on the ground his reputation has grown with each Championship, Reserve and Blue Ribbon won by his offspring. In the recent 2012 California Classic Kiernan won the coveted Get of Sire Class and five of the seven Kiernan offspring at the show won blue ribbons along with a Championship and a Reserve Championship. Later in 2012 Kiernan again won the Get of Sire class at the Gold Country Gathering and again his cria cleaned up winning multiple blue ribbons and both the Color Championship and Reserve in the brown male class. His offspring are all marked with excellent coverage and fleece character, extreme crimp and brightness along with the typical drop dead gorgeous head. They say that the proof is in the progeny and in this regard Kiernan is producing one outstanding cria after another. Kiernan’s dam, Snowmass Legacyna is out of the legendary 4Peruvian Legacy and his sire, FDA St. Andrews a multiple color champion himself, carries Peruvian Santino and PPPeruvian Dracula genetics. Looking for Accoyo genetics? Kiernan offers some of the best. . His fiber statistics show him to have the best crimp in our herd. Kiernan has just a picture perfect head with black ears and muzzle. Fleece coverage and character, density and staple length are just phenomenal along with strong bone and good conformation. In the show ring, Kiernan has impressed the judges in winning three championships, a blue ribbon at AOBA Nationals, eleven overall blue ribbons and a slug of other awards. Do your breeding program a favor and book a package of breedings to Kiernan. Another interesting fact - Kiernan has never thrown a white cria even when bred to white. We would be happy to discuss multiple breeding discounts.

CoCo makes very fine fiber, tall large boned offspring. CoCo's daughter, River's Crystal Kiernan took color champion at the 2013 International Alpaca Odyssey in dark halter. CoCo's daughter took reserve color champion at the 2013 California Classic. CoCo is a big girl with rich solid brown fine fiber. She is priced to sell. The choice of a good herdsire breeding combination brought to CoCo's Cria more density, softness, richness, and crimp, but the offspring gets stature, bone and conformation from this elegant dam. She will make a good foundation dam with these attributes. CoCo's first AFD at 20 months is 20.4 and this past year at age 9 she is still has an AFD of 20.7 microns. That is true consistency of fiber. No change over 6 years. LOOK UNDER THE FIBER TAB TO SEE COCO'S EPDs. This is incredible consistancy of fineness. That alone makes this girl a good proven dam. CoCo is out of Bartolomeo Arrogante. Barolomeo's progeny have increased size, solid confirmation, significant bone mass, color, with improved fiber fineness and density. CoCo has given us cria every year since we have owned her, she was one our first purchase of an alpaca. She conceives easily, gives birth easily and is a great mother with plenty of milk. CoCo has a beautiful head, perfect bite, is healthy, still young and ready to give you years of production. We owned her mother, grandmother and father, we saw three generations of improvement. CoCo is priced to sell, and her price is certainly not a reflection of her quality. We are focusing our breeding goals toward white alpacas and CoCo would work much better for a breeder of color. SOMETIMES IT IS JUST AS IMPORTANT TO BREED FOR SIZE, STATURE AND CONFORMATION AND NOT JUST FOR THE SHOW RING FIBER. CoCo has proven that she can produce a champion. Start your breeding decision with the alpaca frame and then go to the fiber. This is how we used CoCo and the results were River's Crystal Kiernan who had it all. She can also do that for your breeding program. SEE UNDER FIBER TAB TO SEE EPDS

Description

RIVER'S CRYSTAL KIERNAN was awarded COLOR CHAMPION AT THE INTERNATIONAL ALPACA ODYSSEY in 2013. Crystal takes first out of all dark female juveniles and color champ out or all dark females. Crystal's fiber already shows Kiernan's super ability to improve his baby's fleece. Crystal has rich brown fiber and impeccable conformation. Her dam is quite tall and as a two year old so is Crystal. Crystal is a big girl and perfectly put together. The judges remarks as to why she chose Crystal for the color champion was her uniformity of fineness and conformation. She commented, "this alpaca has a general lack of guard hair and a consistency of fine soft fiber throughout her entire fleece". The most amazing trait of this girl is her conformation and stature. She was only 10 months with her IAO and California Classic championships. Her fiber is wonderful but so is her body type. She really has it all and could make any breeder another champion with the right breeding. Crystal is now bred to Silver Rose Sentinel of Arapaho Rose Alpacas, a proven dark grey with a long breeding history of champions. Sentinel will improve her EPD for staple length. Sentinel EPD superiority is that he is in the 1% for staple length, and perfect as a pairing with her EPD picture. Crystal was evaluated by Dale Davis in February of 2013 and her remarks were "Lovely body type, good fleece density, good architecture, very soft handle, few guard hairs and consistency of fiber is very good. Her only negative is "the staple length is just a bit less than expected for 8 months, but definitely show material". Herdsire, Kiernan of Saint Andrews progeny have had incredible success in the show ring. Multiple first place halter showings for his progeny at the California Classic in 2012. All solid rich brown juvenile and yearling winners. Crystal has that same winning fiber and can integrate that fiber dynamic as a foundation female for a breeder who is breeding for color. 2014 Fiber Trait EPD Values: Trait Value Accuracy National Rank AFD 0.519 0.436 27813 of 31937 SDAFD -0.006 0.436 17913 of 31937 SF 0.457 0.46 27026 of 31937 %F>30 -0.096 0.466 18670 of 31937 MC -2.431 0.431 31100 of 31937 SDMC -1.385 0.455 31494 of 31937 %M -1.306 0.029 5421 of 31937 MSL -0.927 0.362 24127 of 31937 FW 0.183 0.273 9966 of 31937 BW -0.108 0.086
