Candalero also has a rare trait called soft rolling skin which is only found in extremely dense animals. I will never forget the day when I first met Candy and I went to feel his fleece and couldn't hardly get my fingers into it! His fleece was the first "berber carpet" fleece I had ever experienced! Tangalera, the grandaughter of the famous "Excalibur Codi," has grown into a beautiful female of perfect size, with ultrafine fiber, excellent character, and wonderful density. This young female has solid grey genes following in the foot steps of her outstanding, blue ribbon winning, rose grey sire, "Candalero." Tangalera has a dense merino style fleece with excellent fineness and many crimps per inch. She passes her superior quality fleece on to her offspring just as her dad has done with her. Her maroon cria Cruz's histogram for 2010 (at 20 months) is an impressive 18.58 Micron/3.55 SD/19.11 CV/99.16 CF! She is also an excellent mom to her cria and she supplies her cria with plenty milk. No worries with her babies! She has thrown a handsome maroon and her last was a beautiful fawn, both have excellent fiber character and fineness with brightness and lock structure that deserve to be shown!
