Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty was also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014. Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows. Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

Description

The fact that we are willing to part with Mariella speaks volumes about the depth that we have built up here over the past 5 or 6 years in the female side of our herd. With no disrespect to her world-class sire, Snowmass Matrix Majesty, but on the rare occasion when we offer a member of this family for sale, it is really about the maternal line and its matriarch, PPeruvian Jesusa. Having been originally imported by Don and Julie Skiner of Snowmass Alpacas, we were fortunate enough to have Jesusa here in our foundation herd for the latter half of her life. In that time she not only gave us Mariella’s dam, Chalice, but also the two animals we have come to think of as the wonder twins: Golden Sovereign (a working Herdsire we co own with our friends at Maple View Farm) and his incredible full sister, Magdalena. Jesusa and her line course through the very core of CCNF and are perhaps second only Archangel and his sire Legacy Gold in overall historical importance to what we have accomplished here as we enter our 17th year of operation. Mariella is a living tribute to both sides of her family tree and there are some very potent genetics coursing through her veins. It is only the presence of her older maternal sister, CCNF Jesusa (named in honor of you-know-who), now expecting her first cria in 2014 that allows us to offer Mariella in the first place. Like all of our maidens she sells with her first breeding (we would choose either Legit or Spirit Wind Maestro, both hopefully coming on line in 2014) and a full reproductive guarantee!
