2013 Update: HIS CRIA CONTINUE TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS! A male offspring has won three Judge's Choice Awards this spring in three shows (including Level V!) Look at his offspring as you go thru the spring show circuits...including AOBA Nationals and Futurity! His grey offspring are spectacular enough for the Blue Ribbon at the prestigious AOBA Nationals and Futurity shows and have won multiple Color Champions again! Two grey offspring took BOTH COLOR AND RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION GREY FEMALES in a recent show! No other full Accoyos can boast this rare quality! Progeny Championships in white, fawn, brown, and greys! Sired by the now deceased El Nino (one of Accoyo Caligula's best offspring. El Nino was the 2004 AOBA Get of Sire, and was the 2005 Light Futurity Herdsire of the Year!). With El Nino's recent passing, Michelangelo has become one of his most prepotent progeny! To lose such a legendary macho in his prime makes the genetics of his top offspring even more critical to a well thought out serious breeding program. Michelangelo has that extremely dense fine high amplitude crimp, and an incredibly even "peach colored" fawn fleece. In late 2005 Dr. Norm Evans did a skin biopsy of this spectacular male, and he had a follicle density of an amazing 115 follicles/mm! (Post-calibration results were adjusted to 107 follicles/mm) His S/P ratio was an astounding 13.28/1! These are still unheard of statistics, and he PASSES THEM ON! Michelangelo will split time between Lakada Farm and Cameo Rose Alpacas, our new co-owner!

This is a chance to own one of the trademark females of the Lakada herd…JLFA Luciano's Peruvian Paloma, who produced JLFA Michelangelo's Peruvian Panthea who sold for $30,000+ and is a 15X Banner winner in Rose Grey! Paloma has produced some incredible offspring for us and we have her daughter bred as her replacement..so don't look too long at this incredible producer or she will be gone! She is bred to our own Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, the legendary Herdsire of the Year and this will most likely be one of his last offspring...since he will turn 17 this June.

Description

JLFA Michelangelo’s Peruvian Pandora is a FULL PERUVIAN, ½ ACCOYO, MEDIUM ROSE GREY female that will be an asset to ANY breeding program! Check out her fleece! Miraculous! Pandora has blinding brightness, tight, tiny crimps, amazing consistency, wonderful handle, and extreme staple length, not to mention phenomenal fineness and density. Her conformation is also terrific - well balanced with excellent proportions and straight lines. One look at her and you can tell she is an exceptional “Mike” kid! It is by no accident that this ribbon wining show gal is so impressive. Her sire is the one and only El Nino’s Accoyo Michelangelo who is a multi champion light fawn El Nino son. El Nino is arguably the very best Caligula son to exist, and Mike is arguably the very best El Nino son to exist. He is remarkable in every way – proven through his awards and progeny – many of which have become multi champions or “not for sale” foundation alpacas for so many farms. Mike had a skin biopsy by Dr. Norm Evans that showed 115 follicles/sqmm! That is density that no other alpaca tested has come close to achieving – oh – and he passes this trait to his offspring. With extreme density comes fineness (boy does he have that) as well as consistency – you would be hard pressed to find primaries on this boy. Pandora’s dam is JLFA Luciano’s Peruvian Paloma, a MRG show gal who placed 9 times for top tiered ribbons, including 3 blues! Paloma is a fabulous mother who consistently produces show offspring year after year – 75% of which are FEMALE. Paloma is an El R Peruvian Luciano daughter. He is a legendary grey male sired by Peruvian Platinum, a LSG Peruvian Import. Paloma’s dam is a DSG (3rd generation) gal who has made 100% FEMALE offspring - more than 80% are black or grey! The Luciano/Michelangelo genetic cross is proven success. Pandora’s full sister is JLFA Michelangelo’s Peruvian Panthia, who is a 16x BLUE and 14x BANNER winning gal. Pandora is Ultrasound confirmed to our Multi Champion Male E Pluribus Unum for a September 2022 cria!
