Chance has been a great addition to our breeding program! He has consistently thrown beautiful cria, with his robust stature and fine, super-dense fleece. He also lends his inquisitive and lovable personality to his offspring. We call Chance the Great Improver because he does in one breeding what could take two or more generations to improve fineness with density and bone! Farm visitors always remark about Chance's presence, compact size, and beautiful bone; and, then they are able to quickly point out his cria in our pastures because they so resemble him. He has a stamp! Chance has done a great job for us; but we need the space for our upcoming herdsires and we have used him quite a bit. He is in a pasture by himself and he should probably be kept that way. We do not have the space to accommodate this right now. We have bred Chance enough to know the following regarding color: When put with black he has produced black 100% of the time. When put with an animal with grey “tendencies”, he has produced grey 80% of the time. He typically honors the dam’s color but makes it richer in color.
