There are few alpaca herd sires in the same league as MacGyver’s Balboa. He is co-owned by Park View All American Alpacas in Oregon and Victoria Lane Alpacas in Ohio. During the course of his show career Balboa racked up 16 Halter Championships-- 13 Color Championships and 3 Reserve Championships. And his fleece won a few awards too. At the MAPACA 2008 Fleece competition, Balboa’s fleece was awarded a First Place and Best Suri Locks. Then at the 2008 AOBA National Fleece Show, Balboa was awarded First Place and Reserve Color Championship. His fleece also received a Special Award at Nationals for Best Suri Locks. Balboa’s offspring have accrued more than 25 championships among them to date! Though he is true black, Balboa specializes in both light and dark colored offspring, and both do equally well in the show ring. Thus it is at the 2011 Futurity, he was named both Dark Herd Sire of the Year and Reserve Light Herd Sire of the Year. Included on the light side of the family, from Park View Alpacas, are: Lucieno of PVA, 2011 AOBA National Show Reserve Color Champion; the divine Imperial Princess of PVA, 2011 IAO Supreme Color Champion, 2011 CABA Color Champion, and 2011 Futurity Res Color Champion; Balboa’s Fanfare of PVA, the 2011 IAO Color Champion; Chablis of PVA: 2010 GWAS Res. Color Champion, and 2011 IAO Best Head; and blue-ribbon-winning and future color champion Chardonnay of PVA: 1st 2011 AOBA National Show, 1st 2011 Futurity, 1st 2011 GWAS, and 2011 IAO Best Head. But wait, Balboa makes dark Color Champions as well! These include, again from Park View Alpacas: Bejeweled of PVA, 2011 AOBA National Show Reserve Color Champion; Nataliah of PVA, half-sister of PVA Mahogany Prince and 2011 AOBA National Show Color Champion; Chanterelle of PVA, 2011 Futurity Color Champion and 2011 AOBA National Show Reserve Color Champion; Fawnessa of PVA, 2011 IAO Color Champion; and the immortal, memorable Testaverde of PVA: 2011 Color Champion at the IAO, the CABA Classic, the AOBA National Show, and 2010 Futurity Color Champion. Balboa has also sired some champions for Victoria Lane Alpacas. His first offspring to hit the ground, Balboa’s Adrienne, won 3 Reserve Championships during her show career. Then Adrienne’s full sister, Balboa’s Lexi, came along and also took 3 Reserve Championships—FABA 2011, Best of US 2011, and CABO 2011. In addition to these accomplishments, Balboa is just plain an all-around great guy. He’s friendly and intelligent, easy to handle, comes when he’s called, doesn’t cause problems with other males, and treats his ladies with dignity. UPDATE: NEW CO-OWNERS M&M ALPACAS OF NORTH CAROLINA

We purchased Gidget from BellBorne Farm at the Private Collection Auction in 2008. As I examined the auction animals, I was WOWed by the fleece regrowth that Gidget was exhibiting - it was extremely fine, dense, and has these beautiful ringlet curls uniformly across her body. Gidget was shorn before the auction because she was too hot and uncomfortable. Her first blanket was 3.6 lbs, with an annualized shear weight of 8.2 lbs - no wonder she was hot! Gidget's first cria is a beautiful light brown male, Topojack by Accoyo Tecate, and was sold. She was bred to WRSR Mercury Rising, our silver grey super male and delivered a beautiful light fawn female in 2010, WRSR Manzanita by Mercury Rising. Manzanita has beautiful fine fiber with excellent lock architecture on regrowth. Gidget's 2011 cria was by our multiple champion WRSR Accoyo Razor, and produced a beautiful solid dark fawn male, WRSR Serengeti by Razor, now himself a multiple champion. Gidget's strong color and fiber genetics make her a top foundation dam. Gidget was bred to Macgyver's Balboa for a summer 2014 cria, and she delivered a solid medium brown female, WRSR Olympia by Balboa, on 5/27/14. Olympia has a beautiful slick fleece, and sheared a total of 6.7 lbs with a blanket weight of 3.01 lb on her 1st shearing at 11 months! She has been a great production dam for us and consistently produces beautiful crias with high fleece weights and luster. She is currently open. She gets pregnant usually on the 1st breeding, and has a nice personality when pregnant, making her easy to handle. Both parents are National and Futurity Champions. Revelation has all the bases covered. He has impeccable genetics, a perfect health record from both sides, solid fawn color, great coverage, perfect conformation and his 2018 annual fleece weighed 12.0 lbs. This boy has density and fineness! His grand dam, Accoyo Clara, came over in the last import with a 14.5 micron fiber and has produced nothing but beautiful, show-winning offpspring. She carried her fine lustrous fleece up to her passing in 2015 (MFD: 22.4 SD: 4.5 COV: 20.3% FG30: 5.2%). Revelation competed in 2021 in the Get-of-Sire production competition. He won the prestigious 1st Place for Light Herd Sires at the MAPACA Jubilee competing against WLK Electrofyre, and amazingly he won! Description

Olympia is a real sweetheart! She arrived at 21.8 lbs, and hasn't stopped growing. While she was only 10 months old at her first show, she was one of the biggest females in the juvenile class. She has above average bone and size, and will be a great foundation female. She has a very nice personality, and will stand while you pet her and pick up her feet. She likes to be petted! Her color is gorgeous - a very uniform medium brown from tip of her ears down to her toes, with wave and a twist locks. Beautiful luster, too! When you touch her fleece, it feels like melted butter and makes you want to keep touching her. Her dam is Icon's Golden Girl , aka "Gidget on the farm", a beautiful dark fawn by Lost Creek's Black Icon, who produced many winning black foundation dams for Wilkin's Livestock. She is a major fleece producer and shears 7 lbs per year, with a 3.25-3.75 lb blanket. She is also holding fineness and luster in her fleece. Olympia's sire is the well-known Macgyver's Balboa, a true black herdsire who racked up 12 Championships and was considered "unbeatable" for many shows. His offspring garner many ribbons and championships and he is well-respected as a top-producing herd sire, with the good chance of producing black. Balboa's sire is one of industry's top herd sires, DDF Peruvian Macgyver (now deceased). She is currently bred open. She was bred in the summer to PIVAL Son's Revelation, but reabsorbed at 60 days, and it was too late in the season to rebreed. Contact Patti at 443-740-4240 or email us for more information.
