The look of liquid mercury and the excitement of a full Peruvian grey suri awaits your breeding program with Mercury Rising. He is the son of Angelinn, a beautifully locked 6Peruvian Rufino daughter and Reserve Champion at the 2002 MaPaca Jubilee, the largest alpaca show in North America. His sire is 5Peruvian Silver King, a medium silver grey full Peruvian stud out of a full Peruvian rose Grey dam, who has produced several greys. Mercury's high luster grey color, defined lock structure, and superb conformation of his typey body style makes him one to watch in the show ring and in the breeding pen. This showy male has outstanding coverage from his topknot to his toes and exhibits beautiful locks - very unusual for a grey, promising to make him the top grey herd sire in the country. Mercury won Reserve Color Champion at the 2005 AOBA National Conference Fleece Show, winning over many of the top grey and multi males in the country. His regrowth on his fleece is beautiful, with defined locks and beautiful luster. His silver grey color (almost blue) is breathtaking! Mercury has produced champions, too! Check out WRSR Mercury Rising's Marauder, a medium rose grey now owned by Rainbow Mountain Alpacas and Prairie Lake Alpacas. Marauder was awarded Reserve Champion - Grey Male Suris, at the 2009 MAPACA Jubilee Show. Mercury's Wildside has taken the blue at the 2009 AOBA Nationals, as well as the 2009 MABA Alpaca Celebration. Book your breedings now! Mercury is available for mobile breedings and resident breedings here at the farm. Live cria birth guarantees, 60 days board for the dam (crias extra @$3.00 per day), and ultrasound confirmation included for resident breeding. Mobile breeding includes bringing the male to your farm within a 120 mile radius of 21078 for a maximum of 2 breedings. Additional trips incur a mileage charge of $1.00 per mile traveled in the minivan. Drive-by breedings can also be done at our farm where you bring the female to Wild Rose Suri Ranch for breeding and receive a $250 discount off the breeding fee. AOA# 30010606DOB: 11/12/200618 yrs
We purchased Gidget from BellBorne Farm at the Private Collection Auction in 2008. As I examined the auction animals, I was WOWed by the fleece regrowth that Gidget was exhibiting - it was extremely fine, dense, and has these beautiful ringlet curls uniformly across her body. Gidget was shorn before the auction because she was too hot and uncomfortable. Her first blanket was 3.6 lbs, with an annualized shear weight of 8.2 lbs - no wonder she was hot! Gidget's first cria is a beautiful light brown male, Topojack by Accoyo Tecate, and was sold. She was bred to WRSR Mercury Rising, our silver grey super male and delivered a beautiful light fawn female in 2010, WRSR Manzanita by Mercury Rising. Manzanita has beautiful fine fiber with excellent lock architecture on regrowth. Gidget's 2011 cria was by our multiple champion WRSR Accoyo Razor, and produced a beautiful solid dark fawn male, WRSR Serengeti by Razor, now himself a multiple champion. Gidget's strong color and fiber genetics make her a top foundation dam. Gidget was bred to Macgyver's Balboa for a summer 2014 cria, and she delivered a solid medium brown female, WRSR Olympia by Balboa, on 5/27/14. Olympia has a beautiful slick fleece, and sheared a total of 6.7 lbs with a blanket weight of 3.01 lb on her 1st shearing at 11 months! She has been a great production dam for us and consistently produces beautiful crias with high fleece weights and luster. She is currently open. She gets pregnant usually on the 1st breeding, and has a nice personality when pregnant, making her easy to handle. Description

Perfect for the grey breeding program! Manzanita's sire is the champion producer Mercury Rising, a beautiful 3rd generation medium silver grey by Silver King. She has very dark nails, and almost black skin under that beautiful uniform light fawn fleece. Her grand sire is the true black Lost Creek's Black Icon, with bloodlines of Outlaw Jax and Royal Damasco. Manzanita has received genetic density from her dam, Icon's Golden Girl and Mercury, shearing over 7 lbs in 2013, her 3rd fleece (12 mos growth). Manzanita has a fine fleece, that is uniformly locked throughout and consistent in quality across her blanket and neck. Manzanita delivered right on her due date, a healthy spotted boy by The Rifleman, a modern rose grey appaloosa. Her son, WRSR Adagio by The Rifleman, is a striking beige/fawn appaloosa, who beige in color with med fawn spots across his body. He is upright, curious, and built like a tank. She is proven, ready to breed, and can be bred to a Wild Rose Suri Ranch or Rainbow Mountain Alpacas herd sire for a greatly reduced fee with her purchase.
