Mulan, a spectacular 1/2 Accoyo Bruxo daughter, has been a star in the Wild Rose breeding program. She consistently produces champions with offspring like WRSR Accoyo Razor and WRSR Peruvian Navajo, producing a high luster fleeces with a greasy feel. Her conformation is impeccable and is highlighted by her beautiful head that she passes to her crias. Mulan delivered another show-stopping and award winning cria out Cantano's Peruvian Claytonite in Oct. 2007, WRSR Claytonite's Bianca, a deep maroon 1/4 Accoyo female that has the fleece characteristics of WRSR Accoyo Razor. Bianca went on to become a "Color Champion" at a level 5 show. Mulan continues to produce outstanding crias with color whether bred with white or color. She is truly a top foundation dam. Her latest cria by Allegheny Peruvian King Coal is a phenomenal dark silver gray male, "Coalossus" with dripping luster in a gray fleece. We are thrilled! Multiple Champions Produced: WRSR Accoyo Razor WRSR Peruvian Navajo Gold WRSR Claytonite's Bianca Mulan has been retired and now lives out her days at the farm. She continues to foster crias and she took on WRSR Snickers at one month old when her dam died from congestive heart failure. Mulan has nurtured Snickers and her milk came in to feed her. While Snickers is now weaned, the two of them stick together and remain close. It is quite a sight to see and heartwarming to watch.

Description

Attitude is a beautiful 1/2 Accoyo male out of one of our top dams. He is beige in color, with a dark brown spot on his leg. That spot was the "kiss of death" in the show ring for a basically white animal. Attitude was smaller in stature and now a redundant male, so he was gelded and took on a new job for us. His fleece is still very nice and usable for yarns. So, what was Attitude's job? He was a key identifier of pregnant females that became open unexpectedly. Attitude was kept with our pregnant girls group, and he would mount them if they came open. We would see the ruffled and disrupted fiber, or even the behavior, and would know to check that female immediately. He has paid for himself numerous times by preventing lost time for females who lost their pregnancies. Attitude has also been used in groups of open females, and mom's and crias. He is very versatile! We have not put him with large groups of males as we found that his living with the females has caused the other intact males to pick on him, as he likely smells like the females. Attitude is a good worker, but is not particularly cuddly in nature. He is fine to work around, but does not like to be held and petted, so he is not a good PR animal. However, give him a job like I described, and he will perform. Attitude would make a good fiber and companion alpaca, too. Attitude has been free of any major health issues and will be a great companion for many years if properly fed, housed, and managed.
